fellow junofficer fan !! (I stalk the junofficer tag, desperate to be fed) any headcanons?
Omg I’m so sorry I didn’t get around to this sooner but I finally wrote some stuff, idk if it’s really anything but there are some headcanons there lol. it's kinda long though so heads up for that
also I'm gonna be referring to the officer with @izzyfishie's hc name for him, Min-sang
(the people I tagged here I hope you don’t mind the tag, I just made mention of some ideas/headcanons that you had come up with)
also heads up for some talk at the very bottom related to a minor season 3 spoiler, for anyone who hasn’t seen season 3 yet
I sent a headcanon here about how I think the officer is the type to not be able to get his mind off his work/responsibilities on what’s supposed to be his down time. @izzyfishie also said once that the officer has a very loud brain and I definitely agree – I feel like he gets in his head a lot, ruminating a lot on the things that stress him out and smoking/drinking in an attempt to take his mind off of it
I feel like Jun-ho can tell when this happens (he’s a detective, he’s gonna notice the signs of something being off, even if Min-sang thinks he’s hiding it well/not doing “obvious” things)
and I imagine Min-sang being… caught off guard by this? Idk how to say it. He’s most comfortable when in control, including being in control of his emotions and how he’s perceived. Jun-ho’s ability to see right through him makes him feel vulnerable in a way he’s not entirely comfortable with/prepared for, at least not at first. He also feels that not having everything under control will be a sign of incompetence, both in a professional and personal sense. But Jun-ho just wants Min-sang to be honest with him
(which maybe seems to make him kind of a hypocrite bc I feel like he can be quite secretive as well but like. It’s coming from a different place. For Min-sang it’s about not wanting to be weak/incompetent, for Jun-ho it’s.. maybe an amount of general distrust, maybe feeling the need to handle it himself (especially if whatever’s troubling him is something very personal like something to do with his brother))
uhh more mundane/shippy(?) stuff now. some of these are taken directly from the silly rp
Min-sang likes to use “jagiya” for Jun-ho (a lot lol. it feels good to have someone he can call that) (this one is taken straight from the RP so thank you @frontman-right-hand-man), while I don’t think Jun-ho uses terms of endearment/pet names as much
I think they both like to cook. Min-sang liking to cook is also from the RP – it’s grounding, it has a set process to it, it’s something he can control. Jun-ho liking to cook… part of it is just the necessity of having to cook to eat. But I also imagine him cooking as like, a way of showing love/care if that makes sense. Like in the time after his coma I imagine him cooking for his mother more, both because she’s getting older and maybe certain things aren’t as easy for her anymore but also as a way to comfort her since he knows she feels an amount of guilt for In-ho leaving and they both feel his absence (maybe Jun-ho also feels he needs to do something for her after how scared she was for him when he was in his coma). maybe he cooked for In-ho after his wife died. omg this got away from junofficer oops but anyways I think it’s something they would do together maybe. or at least do for each other
Jun-ho generally ends up being the little spoon (they don’t decide it just happens) but the one time Min-sang ends up as the little spoon his brain short circuits. and maybe after that he “accidentally” ends up as the little spoon a little more often (of course he doesn’t Say anything about it to Jun-ho. because he’s a goober)
This might be kinda nothing but like. I think Min-sang is the more expressive of the two of them. I don’t mean that like being more open i just mean like more animated/his changes in expression are more noticeable. this isn’t really a headcanon lol
Something something both of them being light sleepers and if one of them is awake and the other is asleep the awake one is sometimes stuck in an uncomfortable position bc they don’t wanna move and wake up the other (personally I think Jun-ho is still the lighter sleeper between them)
[SEASON 3 THING]
Since season 3 revealed that the officer lost someone close due to not being able to get a kidney transplant, I’m lowkey imagining Min-sang feeling… idk what exactly I’m thinking but something about Jun-ho being lucky enough to get a kidney transplant while the person he lost couldn’t. I wouldn’t say it’s resentment or wishing the roles were reversed. Maybe he wonders how things would have gone if they were. Looking at Jun-ho in front of him and imagining the person he lost there, if they only had the same luck (I’m not necessarily saying the person he lost was a romantic partner but still). But he doesn’t say any of this to Jun-ho. If Jun-ho told him about his own kidney thing before I don’t even know if Min-sang would tell him he lost someone in that way.
Maybe he also worries more about Jun-ho because of e kidney thing (like if he knows Jun-ho had kidney problems in the past then because of that + the person he lost, he maybe gets more worried/paranoid if Jun-ho starts to feel sick or something)
Thanking god for The Officer admin’s awesome characterization of him🙏😭
Fr fr I really enjoy the way admin characterizes him 🙏 we don't currently have a ton to work with from canon but the way the officer rp blog admin characterizes him is very interesting and fun imo
junofficer.... but its.... the officer isnt involved with the games au.... and... jun-ho meets the officer by pulling him over to give him a ticket since he was speeding because he was late for his job...
PLEASE I LOVE THAT
Jun-ho just monotonously going about his traffic cop duties while the officer sits there like 😦
(this scenario with the speeding to work fits the officer too, our dedicated-but-frazzled king <3)
