Betrayal on a Cosmic Scale
cw: betrayal (on a cosmic scale!)
Moon and Sun are friends. Unfortunately, Moon is also friends and coworkers with Star, and the two of them work for a boss who wants to destroy all that Sun and his other friends have worked for. Moon, somehow, knows everything that will happen in the story - and he can't spare anyone's feelings. So, he decides to work as a double agent, stealing from Sun's side while also plotting against Star's side.
One day, Sun finds out that Moon is working for the enemy, and he's utterly heartbroken. He just found out that one of his other friends might be on their side too; how could Moon do this to him?! He confronts Moon, and while Moon claims that it'll all end well, Sun is still upset, and their friendship is broken.
Meanwhile, Moon continues to plot against the other side. Eventually, it all comes to a head as he quits his job, abandoning Star, to help out Sun's team. He knows that it could cost him his life, and it's all for someone who no longer trusts him. Luckily, he makes it out alive in time to help out Sun's side in the final legal battle. Star, who is serving as a lawyer for his team, has one final question for Moon: "Why'd you have to leave?" Moon, for all he tries, can't answer in a way that won't break Star's heart like he did Sun's.
It's Showtime!!
Red is the ringmaster at a dead-end circus, running from an arranged marriage. Blue is a jester with an unfaithful husband she doesn't talk to anymore. While Red is outgoing and vibrant, Blue is shy and a little hostile, with a penchant for violence and a habit of following Red around the grounds. Red simply wishes to get to know the other woman better, and tries to include Blue in things (you know, since she's around so much), but the two aren't close. Blue, on the other hand, has a complicated mix of emotions around Red, mostly because beautiful women have always been a threat to her marriage, but she's also hiding quite a few secrets from the other woman.
When Red begins to look into suspicious circumstances surrounding their circus, Blue is right alongside her, and finally the two begin to bond over their similar lives. However, the circus' secrets coincide very nicely with Blue's own, and it becomes important that Red never find out the truth. After all, if she finds out, she will never trust anyone - but especially Blue - again.
