Souji giggled despite himself, smoothing his hair. "Still... you're being mean to me..." He curled up on the couch, hiding his face in a pillow. He missed the other, was all. "I'm allowed...."

Kasar clings to the man's leg and still doesn't leave his side. "Mister… My teeth still hurt…" Whines still, but he is hungry for more food.

"... Alys? HELP????" He's just gonna drag Kasar inside though. He can at least feed the kid.

It took a little longer since another something came up, but as he promised, he would be back that same day. He sees his two sleepy kittens on the couch and it's not so late and just enough time to spend in the cozy evening. He gently picks up the sleepy ones and moves to sit down with them on him.

"I'm home..." Soft words that he still can't believe he's saying. The ones who make it home is them. Asao slowly wakes up and nuzzles into his Mama. "Mama .. Papa back. Home again..." He then hugs Vergil.

All his gifts sorted and organized, ready for the next day where he starts donating everything he doesn't want, and the two were asleep on the couch, holding a few of Asao's stuffed animals. His dreams were of beautiful places, verdant gardens of the books he read, familiar faces taking the place of characters... of soft hand holding and softer words.

It was Asao's voice that roused him, and he whined, eyes blinking open. "Hmmm??" He felt the other, his warmth, before his eyes focused on the man. He smiled, resting his head against the man's chest. "Vergil.... okaeri nasai... aitakatta...{welcome home... I missed you...}"

Vergil just pulls Souji gently onto his lap and to relax. Fingers through his hair -- a small kiss on his forehead. His other arm with their napping little boy. Not a home without each other.

Maybe Souji wasn't hiding his tiredness after all... He certainly wasn't hiding his nerves, walking around, double-checking and triple-checking things in his head. There was a job coming up, and when it came to his days with Nero, nothing ever happened as planned.

He was pulled down with a squeak, and he looked up, the other's lips on his hair. "Ah... Vergil..."

He blushed, and slowly melted against the other, nearly purring like a kitten. He needed to relax. Things would be okay. Of course, it would. Souji rest his head against the other's neck with a soft mewl. His breath started to slow, breathing Vergil in. His eyes rested on Asao sleeping in his other arm, one white, fuzzy ear flicking as he dreamed.

A dream.... he was living a dream. What a home... not four walls, but this, two people who made him feel like everything would be alright no matter what.
