the corpse with the split spinal cord bends oddly when Dean carries it around his shoulders. I wonder if Dean have the wherewithal to hand Bobby the keys before he lay Sam's body down in the backseat, digging his thumb deep in the wrists to search for a pulse again and again. Does Dean remember it's Sam's birthday when he cradle carries his baby brother to bed? straightens the legs and positions the hands to look more alive. he sits by the bed, tear ducts long dried up and head pounding, and he half considers what Sam would like for breakfast. rigor mortis sets in, and Dean toys with the fingers, which curl stubbornly when he tries to straighten them; the physical resistance almost comforting. But the limpness that comes after is too soft. meat left on the counter. the smell of a dead brother has set in after three days but Dean can't even smell it anymore.

In 2x21 Lily talks about killing her girlfriend by touching her, Sam doesn't talk about Jess dying - no, he immediatly says that he has a brother out there that might be dead
