Every scary intro is a fucking banger
Ok ok ok. I'm still processing today's episode, but need to get this one bit in my head out now.
I'm seeing everyone comment about all the amazing things in this episode (which are in fact amazing), but I'm wondering - what does this mean for the Willy/Scary relationship? She had all these powers while she was connected to him... Are they no longer connected? Will some of her levels go away? Is she gonna double-agent his ass (like he deserves) and use him for a change? I gots to know!
WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE KIRI IS ON A03

Episode 31 thoughts. Spoilers incoming.
This episode, as many people have said, is heartbreaking. At the core of it, even with the laughs, are two kids who don't love themselves, a boy who blames himself and his family, and another boy who spent most of the episode thinking that his father, who he just met, was dead.
At the end of the episode, they managed to convince Scary to stay with them, but not because she is enough as she is, but by telling her that she's allowed to not care if she's enough. By telling her that it's okay to not care about them. I'm not sure where things are going to end up for her, and I know that some people are frustrated with her arc, but I'm still really hopeful and interested to see where it all lands. I hope that ultimately she's able to take the unconditional love that her friends show her and feel that she is enough as she is. The people in her life didn't leave her through any fault of her own, but because of their own problems.
As for that final twist at the end, my prediction on how they were going to get to Goofs Realm was proven wrong, and I couldn't have been more surprised (not surprised that I was wrong, but surprised that Hermie is not who he said he was, although I guess that shouldn't surprise me either, but it did,). My question is whether or not the scam is that Hermie was doing this all along, or whether he actually wanted to steal it in the first place. Was he actually from Chaparral High School? I'm not sure where I land on where the truth ends and the scam begins. I know a lot of people seem to be worried that Hermie is going to disappear. But I think he went into that realm when he jumped out the window. I don't know how the party is going to feel about him at this point, but I don't think he's gone yet.
What I do know about all of this, is that I appreciate the storytelling of this podcast. I appreciate anything that gets me to think about the lives and thoughts of other people. I think it's all amazing that we can sit here and put ourselves in the shoes of other people and learn about life together, whether we're a teen or not. There's a great amount of honesty in this silly dungeons & dragons podcast, and I'm here for it.
very proud of Laura’s character developement, finally understanding not everything is black and white. You know things are changing when she isn’t agreeing with Danny justifying killing mattie
We predicted carm going to the crater a while ago i know....still don’t feel ready for that though...
