This guy is worse than anhora when it comes to stirring up drama. He takes merlin into the crystal cave, merlin demands to leave bc he doesnt want to see the future and live in parinoia (VALID), and taliesin respons with:

"Perhaps there is a reason you were brought here at this moment in time."

YOU?? YOU ARE THE REASON MY GUY? Im curious if merlin had stormed out of there he wouldve been fine doing his usual thing without seeing these crystal flashes that make him parinoid the rest of the episode.

It's the age ole wonder that maybe merlin knowing his destiny/the future in this case, he furthers it along by trying to change it.

Summary: A death row inmate makes good on his promise to come back from the dead and kill the five people involved in his death. The fear of his retribution has everyone scrambling to determine if they are on the list, while Mulder and Scully attempt to determine how he has returned to execute his tormentors.

it was never about trust. they're brothers. they don't leave their own behind. they gave each other chance after chance even after having been betrayed so many times.

so no, it's not about trust. it's about the pain that is so personal. they hurt each other in ways no one else ever could, and no one else could ever fix. they throw everything they've got at each other, they know each others greatest weakness and insecurities and fears. a lot of things they don't mean, but they have to say, because it's the only way to get an honest reaction from the other. so they can be vulnerable again and open and that's when they can start to really forgive each other.

theres a hint of "i want you to feel my pain" in every vicious accusation. we, as the audience, know exactly what they each have been through in their time apart, but they don't.

they owe each other a lot of explanations and apologies, but first, all their pent up anger and hurt needs to come out.
