MY THOUGHTS

Makin Magic was E V E R Y T H I N G. I like that the TS1 dragons were basically dogs/cats, and had more mobility and free will. I miss the TS1 interactions, like how dragons could eat on their own. But IMO, they’re more like magical dinosaurs than dragons. So I understand why TS3 based its dragons off of birds instead, and I prefer TS3′s dragons overall, as they’re a bit closer in their form and functions to what I wanted from dragon “pets.”

However, I do wish TS3 dragons could function even more like the birds from the Pets EP, so they could use and interact with the bird perches, and have just a bit more functionality. EA obviously didn’t want the source code for EP-specific animals copy/pasted onto Store content, but I hope a modder some day finds a way to do it, or at least mod the birds to look like dragons, cuz I AM SO EFFING JEALOUS of this TS2 mod! 

But yeah, this video takes me back! Words can’t express how much I love Makin Magic. Nothing beats TS1 for its special brand of random AF comedic chaos. It never ceases to baffle me how people keep screaming that fantasy shouldn’t be in TS4/The Sims, cuz I’m like: y’all obviously never played much of TS1 or TS2 at all; cuz fantasy's been part of the sims universe since jump.

Sadly, I highly doubt dragons will come to TS4. EA gave us those effing polls, as and as per usual people voted for stupidness, when we could’ve had one of the coolest things ever: Rideable Dragons.

The finalists in that Theme Madness poll were Dragon Riders, Equestrians/Horses, Witches, Islanders/Island Living, Farmers, and Students/University. Witches came in the Realm of Magic GP -- which conspicuously included neither horses, knights, dragons, nor werewolves (WTF, EA). And IL’s mersims were...well. The University EP was one of TS4′s very few genuinely decent expansions, but of course it paled in comparison to the older versions, #BecauseEAxis #BecauseTS4. University, as a Sims staple, shouldn’t’ve even BEEN ON any polls to effing start with. That should just be a given! Instead, it wasted a slot that could’ve tipped the scales in favor of things we haven’t had in ANY Sims game yet, like dragon riding knights, Targaryen style!

It would’ve been so freaking awesome to finally have REAL dragons, as a mix of TS1, TS3, and dare I say it.... The Sims Freeplay mobile game. O_O Freeplay’s dragons are basically reskinned dogs/cats like in TS1, and they don’t do much of anything either (cuz Freeplay’s a wack mobile game), but I freaking LOVE their design -- they kind of look more serpentine and...Asiatic? If they didn’t have wings, they’d definitely look more like Oriental Long Dragons, rather than Occidental Drakes, for sure.

At this point, if TS4 includes actual dragons I’ll be shocked. (The less said about TS4′s “familiars” the better.) But whatever.

Hopefully PS5′s upcoming Harry Potter game will give me the dragon pets I’ve been wanting for all these years. U_U

Mini Rant - Male Hair CC

I just saw this post on my dash and it really hurt my dang feelings.

I try to stay quiet and not bug anyone and just make do with what we get, cuz any little bit we’re given in the community is a gift not an obligation, but really....

WHERE THE EFF are the Male Hairs? There’s always been a big discrepancy between the female and male CC and CC makers, but lately I’ve been getting particularly frustrated by all the female hair being released and the lack of male ones in kind, like....

Do y’all not SEE this delicious gloriousness?

Where is the inspiration? The motivation? THE LOVE?

And where are the gender converters? There are so many female hairs that just don’t work with Master Controller on male heads. We used to have a bunch of simmers who gender-converted hair, but now there’s like no activity? O_o

I even looked in the TS4 sections to see if there was stuff on that end, but there’s only 1 or 2 simmers more or less consistently even bothering to make hair for guys over there too!?! I literally went through 10 PAGES of hair at TSR and really, there’s 1 or 2 simmers who stand out for male hair, and it’s disturbing.

I’m sorry for stepping on toes, but I’m tired of keeping quiet about this, cuz I really wanna know what’s going on around here. If I see one more female hair on my dashboard I’m gonna flippin scream.
