The sheer whiplash of going from "Dean tortures a high-ranking demon for half an episode" to "Sam and Dean are Regular Guys who take a stab at a ghost hunt" to "all of the events of this show are written in a book series" is insane

Adventure time but only when The Ice King is on screen 25 - King Worm
So the scene in which Dean asks Sam what a slash fan is is funny and all, but I find it kinda hard to believe that they just seemed to understand the concept of shipping so easily. (Losing my mind at the thought that their first experience with shipping culture was Wincest.) Then again, they probably just wanted to leave it at knowing that the fans like the thought of them as a couple.
But seriously, it can be really hard to explain to people, especially if they aren't into fandom and or writing. I come from experience...
So unless they alre-
i’d like to talk about how in season 4 when dean prayed to cas to help kill lilith, but cas denied help because it was “beyond his power to do so”
he made a point to emphasize the whole “archangel protection against threats” and laid everything out for dean to understand because cas truly did want to help him, even when he couldn’t. he wasn’t lying, he was just very descriptively informing dean about why he could not, which just so happens to be including the exact details of what would help! this is one of the first times where he start to actually show his care for dean i think but anyways i love that scene a lot
I still find this transition swipe from "Lost & Found" so charming. Slapping Warehouse 13 over Warehouse 12, it's so silly.
We can identify most of the WH12 agents the new ones are covering up. In top-down order:
Nielsen is over Caturanga
Bering is over Crowley (Vincent, you'll remember him from "3... 2... 1"
Lattimer is over Wolcott (David, H.G.'s partner, also from "3... 2... 1" and tragically KIA by Dan Seavey)
But Donovan and Jinks are over new names we've apparently not seen before (as far as I've been able to find by cross-referencing prop photos pertaining to WH13 agents).
Donovan is over a name that begins with "H" and ends with "-ESS" (or, less likely, "-LSS").
Perhaps it's my current "Agatha All Along" bias seeping through, but I want to read the amount of space allotted for those mystery letters as it being "Harkness". I don't see any other canon names it could be, and researching all the names
Jinks is over a name that begins with "TE" and ends with "A"
Honestly, I'm inclined to think this name might be Tesla, of all things. The established canon is there, it's just odd that Steve is the one over his name when Claudia was the inventor, Caturanga was the agent supervisor, and Myka was the second brainy one (and also HG's lover).
Holy shit I just realized this was a call back this morning while talking about the finale scene with friends
So in the pilot he's being taken to a criminal to make a deal on behalf of the US govt. There's a gun on him and two guys surrounding him but he's smiling, joking, confident, and leg spreading to be annoying
Now in the season 4 finale he's being taken to some place he doesn't know, he's been held and questioned for days by the CIA, and he's just been handed a coat which he hasn't needed in years bc Miami. There is a guy sitting across from him in the car. And he's sleep deprived, almost died with his girlfriend defeating Vaughn, not smiling, but still leg spreading
MATT NIX HOW DARE YOU
Jodie Dallas in every episode - Season 4 Episode 18
see this is when tv was good yall they could waste episodes on a special silly little subplot that added nothing to the story but made the world a better place. now we are forced to watch 8 fast paced episodes so full of plot your head hurts by the end,,,,
