Family Trees And Backstories

The Royal Family: The Coldwells

On the Fairlakian throne for over 400 years, the royal house of Coldwell has been the longest reigning house in the history of the country. They date back to the middle ages, when queen Helena I ascended to the throne after the death of her aunt Amelia III.

H.R.M Queen Caroline I: 

Caroline had a complicated childhood. Her parents were fighting all the time, so much that she and her younger sister, Myrcella, barely even talked to them. When she got old enough, her father did not flinch in giving her more responsabilities than she could handle. Her child years were spent in a desk and her teenage years were spent in the council chamber, debating with men twice her age who did not miss a chance to humilliate the future monarch. Maybe that's why she's so overprotective with her children. Her father, King Benjamin II is known in the history book to ruin the peace in Fairlake when he cut all the funding to magic, starting the formation of pro-magic rebel groups.

Crown Princess Victoria Helena:

Victoria (who prefers her second name, even though her family insists on calling her by her first) has given up on a normal life a long time ago. Her boyfriends always felt too intimidated, some of her friends only wanted status and her family treated her like "the future queen" more than as their own daughter. Her whole life she spent learning with the best teachers in the world, and that included her father. Now she's almos 23, the age her mother had at her coronation, and she wishes her mother sees past her bubbly innocent persona she puts for the camera. She relies on a few people, namely her cousin Jade, her brother Andrew and her long time friend, Loren Heloise. Although...Things have certainly gotten a little more friendlier than expected with singer Sebastian Norwood.

Prince Andrew Ernest Coldwell:

Second in line for the throne, Prince Andrew wasn't cut for the spotlight. He's not exactly what you would call sociable. Sent away to one of the most exclusive boarding schools in the country (and also the one his parents attended), he has only a small but trustworthy group of friends. For some unknown reason, his mother requested that he lived in the palace through his last year of high school.

King Consort George Coldwell (neé. Edwards):

George was kid whiz, always learning whatever he could. He got accepted into the most prestigious boarding school of Fairlake, the Shoreview Academy, and that's where he met Princess Caroline. They were close friends at the time, always studying together at the library. Graduation day came and young George decided he wanted to be a teacher and fullfill his love for archeology and history. He started teaching at high schools and in the mean-time lost contact with his old friend. Then, one day, when King Benjamin announced that the budgets of various areas, mainly education related were being cut, he became the loudest voice in the protests, and eventually reconnected with Caroline, who didn't share her father's ideals. Now, George is an active participant in Fairlake’s government.
