he’s getting used to this, the people just turning up out of nowhere thing. balfour’s not quite figured out why it happens yet, sure, but he supposes this is just one of those situations where you have to progress in baby steps. 

at any rate, he flicks away his cigarette and thanks god he’s the only one out here right now.
