Periodically I rewrap the stock of my lightsaber. I get a solid year or more per wrap.
The leather adds comfort to the grip, and helps absorb sweat while dueling. The leather comes from scraps from leathersmiths. One can find these at crafts fairs, farmers’ markets, and etsy.
I stitch the leather, rather than the easier idea of using an adhesive. That way, when it comes time to replace it, I can easily remove it without damaging the saber.
