one of my 2 main pcs for Baldurs Gate 3. I didn't know you could be non binary until my friend started making their character.

so this is Sabh Do'siir, non binary seladrine drow fighter. I'm gonna romance Wyll with them. I'll try and get a screenshot of my gith soon

In the interests of full Fionn MacCumhaill graphic novel transparency, I bring you the crap sketches too! 1st one: The Sabh in the middle here looks alright, but the rest of it..? Not so great. And Celtic knotwork definitely doesn’t look like that. Serves me right for drawing it quickly at the end of the day at a comic con. 2nd one: Better, if less ambitious. Sabh again, this is when she goes to druid college and learns it involves being pressed into waiting on her creepy tutor way too much. This look didn’t last long. These days, I’d reference the pot against real-world Iron Age finds.

Sabh again, I think I drew so many of these because there wasn’t that much about her to reference at all and I needed to know that I had the feel of her completely down. This one was done in Posca marker pens, kind of like acrylic paint, only in a pen! Limited palette was the only way! Damn I messed up that eye on the left hand side of the picture though.

This is Sabh, Fionn's eventual partner. Unlike pretty much every other version of the story, she actually gets equal billing and 'screen-time' in my version, she has her own story arc in the book and isn't just a love interest who gets shoved on and shoved off again... 'Cos it was lame otherwise. Oh and it's pronounced "Saiv". Roughly.

The second one is Sabh, Fear Diorche the dark Druid (Sabh's tutor), a deer (for reasons that will become apparent later) and a wee Fionn. Drawn with no ref off the top of my head, sitting at a table at a comic convention. Beware trying to draw Celtic decoration with no reference, it ends up looking like a wifi symbol... Or a radar screen. Same warning goes for deer too. Sabh's the lady about the same age as Fionn, who's his counterpart in navigating the landscape of Iron Age Ireland torn apart by warring clans in the story.
