If she was being honest with herself, Sable had had a bit of a crush on Parker since the day she met him. She understood that it wasn’t going to happen then, she was way too young and more than way too broken. But she wasn’t a little kid anymore and the feelings had never gone away.
She had been half sprawled across his lap on the couch, silently debating with herself while they watched...some movie. Sable hadn’t paid it any attention after the first like five minutes. Her focus had been on him. Sitting up, she glanced at him before leaning in to brush a kiss to his lips, her heart practically in her throat.
