Brandy and Food, Meant to Be A South African brandy has been awarded the title of ‘best brandy in the world’ 15 times over the past 20 years at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. The first Brandy ever produced along South African shores was aboard the ship de Pijl in 1672, by an assistant cook. Since that first distillation, of two leaguers (1164 litres) of Cape wine into “three ankers” (126 litres) of brandy, South African brandy has remained full of fire and innovation. Johan Venter has kept many lessons from his 30+ year career in spirits, @theinventer__ is an expression of his commitment, passion and good spirit. #TasteLetsSee #TheInventer #SABrandy (at Marble Johannesburg) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpAqWz1qSUw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
