The ever kind Calliope and the massacre of her family was what peaked the LAPD into taking The Network murders seriously. The whole family was staged in their home except for bits and bobs that had been chopped off and left boiling on the stove as if to make a stew. Calliope sat on the couch, her rotting corpse sitting on The Network with the children “playing” at her feet. The scene was so gruesome that it was contaminated by officers, blood splatter analysts, and other crime scene investigators who became physically ill at the sight and the smell.
