Set The World On Fire ll Reuben & Ava ll July 4th 11pm
Ava didn't care on way or another about the fourth of July, she only cared that it was an opportunity to blow shit up with her partner in crime. It'd be a night to let her worries disappear -- no more thoughts of Ryan, of her parents, even Sylvia. Tonight was a night all her own and Reuben never seemed to disappoint. Ava was tired -- mentally and physically -- of her life. She decided that tonight would be the night she let herself be completely carefree, she'd allow Reuben to show her how he always seem to find the fun in everything life threw his way.
Ava sat on the beach, running her fingers through the sand as she waited for Reuben. As the waves crashed before her Ava dwelled on all the things she allowed to bother her. Why was she torturing herself with this? She was here to meet a man who literally saw the bright side of every conversation and here she was stuck in the past. Perhaps that was why she enjoyed his company so much, he never failed to make her dilemmas disappear.
Though she'd heard her fair share of warnings from her stand-in father about the boy, Ava couldn't seem to refuse his company. If Goodwin though the boy was a bad idea, he simply didn't know what he was talking about. If anything Reuben brought a softer side of Ava to the surface, he allowed her to let down her guard and have fun. She'd never admit it to anyone, but Ava loved Reuben for the simple fact that she didn't need to be anyone but herself for him.
