So, we all know Festiva was brought in to replace Meteora.
Born a peasant girl with no connections to the throne, getting made a princess purely out of luck.
But there are two avenues of thought that are really sad
1. Festiva doesn’t discover that she and Meteora were swapped until later on in life, the revelation that she’s just some nobody peasant girl really messes her up.
Like, imagine suddenly discovering that everything you thought you knew about yourself was a lie.
2. Festiva’s “father” constantly reminds her that she came from nothing and would threaten to send her back if she stepped one toe out of line. Her constant parties were probably so she could fill the void of affection from her childhood.
But thinking about their fusion, I thought of using a blue ringed octopus, which are incredibly venomous. A bite can kill like 27 adults.
So I'm drawing it and I put two sets of arms, and seeing they have to feel out their environments.
No, I mean one bite's poison could kill 27 people.
So I thought that the claws and their teeth are that toxic, killing so fast. And even the slime produce could be irritating and any ink could burn.
But liam and tenta fused would be a friendly fusion, not really wanting to harm.
So then I imagined that their fusion actually regresses a little and can't talk and really communicates through body language and touching, and that hurts people, and their constantly one to give little friendly bites, almost like a cat, but that's incredibly deadly. Only people like hearth could handle them because the venom wouldn't hurt him, but the slime would.
So I thought that if they fused they would be a fusion that would like to not just unfuse too quickly.
And it ends up being that if their fused, they're treated roughly for the safety of everyone. Like someone strong (cough cough) having to tie their hands together in front and cover them, and put them in some kind of headlock keep them from biting. And you know who would have to do that and how much he WOULDN'T want to. Or put some sort of muzzle on them, one like likely hurts.
And having to keep them locked up if they can't put them somewhere alone, in a smallish tank, maybe only big enough for them to turn around a little.
And the worst part is that they don't understand. They don't know why the people they trust treat them so roughly, and then when their on the other side of the glass, why they're so sad.
But they just forgive them, like a child or a puppy, but would slowly start to shy away or fight against them, when all they wanted to do is to help and be happy, and make their friends happy.
And fuck. It saddens me.
And it'd be so cute and their eyes are a little clouded over liam's colors and they'd still swim around in that tiny tank and press against the glass and do little affectionate head butts, but wouldn't understand why everyone is scared. And the fusion is based on an octopus, who are known for constantly escaping tanks and all when they want, and they'd be so proud they got out and happy to go look for their friends, and wouldn't understand why their friends panic and run. They wouldn't understand why one of the people they trust the most doesn't like them getting close.
And if they got too scared they'd get all curled up and that'd just start hurting everyone more because they'd make more slime and if they panic enough they might even ink and that I'd think their toxicity would make to be almost acidic enough to need to wash away right away to not burn, and they might understand that if they hear a yelp of pain but then they'd just panic more and ugh.
Yup. I'd think furcifer would just not be around and damian, he has to be, but good lord would it hurt him.
[1/5/2016 6:59:18 PM] Fran: Yeah. Damian has healing powers, but it doesn't work on him. It only works on others, but I think Damian would handle it because "he has dealt with worse". So he kinda plays with them and makes sure they are happy and think he is not scared of them. Because they don't want them to think he is afraid, because Damian won't be
[1/5/2016 7:00:03 PM] Fran: He already seen stuff worse then them, so they are not close to any of his fear. They would keep them safe, as well as keeping everyone safe
okay but guys listen you remember how after the Memory Den there was that *incident* when Nick had Kellogg's voice for like two seconds and then didn't remember it? See I TOTALLY thought they were going to follow up on that and something awful would happen? Like I expected some quest to get him fixed and get Kellogg out of his head and all that? But it didn't and he's fine (which is great, don't get me wrong) but oh man imagine the fics that could come out of that?? Imagine the angst? With like literally any of the ships with him it wouldn't even matter (I might possibly make a post re: that with Deacon later though but y'know) and all of the angst that would come afterwards because he already has issues with having those memories from old Nick that don't feel like him and then having memories from some sociopathic mercenary right on top of that IMAGINE FRIENDS
Sad's ahead: What if the reason Greg feels like he has to prove he can be of help to the gems is cause he feels guilty for taking rose from them? Its always getting thrown in his face. That if it wasn't for him rose would still be around. And while he's always so cheerful and bright, you can tell he's still sad. And now his son is a gem. God can you imagine the kind of anxiety and worry that man has when he learned just what kind of things Steven is doing while working with the other gems. Everyone is scarred and a bit damaged in this show and it makes me sad. But its also what makes it a good show.
