I might not be good at much, but at least I can design and build a 3d printed mechanism that should not have survived falling from 55,000 feet in the air and hitting the ground yet did.
I dunno how the fuck I managed it, but yeah the Sad Toaster should have basically disintegrated upon impact from falling that far without a parachute. And yet all that was wrong was some light structural damage on one side, the inside plate that the battery pack was glued to was almost torn out, we lost most pieces of the battery pack and 3 of the 4 AA batteries, and the top cover over the PCBs was nowhere to be found.
And how about the only damage on the circuitry (minus the battery pack) was that the wifi antenna on the microcontroller got ripped off? Even my wires were still set into the terminals... And the fucker turns on when I got power hooked back up to it! Hot damn I done good for once.
So. Task failed successfully, lol.
