Every year I learn some new fucked up thing about the saddlebred/arabian/[insert front leg action breed] show industry that I hadn't noticed before. This year I learned about padded shoes for weanling classes 🤩

I am so tired of the "born this way" "they move like that naturally" argument. Then why do these organizations allow such adulterated front feet?

Finally going through (and cleaning) the tack I was given by my trainer who passed last October.

The official count of items:

2 saddles (one not pictured it’s being returned to the family)

5 pairs of stirrups

1 lonely stirrup iron

1 pair of stirrup leathers

1 full bridle

2 training bridles

7 girths

1 German martingale

1 draw rein

1 running martingale

3 saddle pads (also not pictured they’re being washed)

2 fleece coolers

And 1 English Bulldog who can’t use his own bed (bed is in fact pictured)

idk y but i just have this weird ingrained believe that exclusively saddleseat riders cant actually ride??? idk like i feel that if you gave them any other horse besides that of a saddleseat horse they wouldn’t be able to ride it properly??? or at least ride it well that is
