leaving a three hour lab be like:
what time is it? why is it dark outside? where did the sun go?
I'm starving.
I'm never doing that again (literally has the same lab scheduled the following week).

Hey so I don't know if you're still active but here it goes. I'm currently a pre-vetrinary student in college. COVID sorta threw my plan into a loop and now I'm sorta behind on getting experience for vet school. Any ideas on what to do?
vet-and-wild here.
Honestly, that's tough. You may have to hold off on applying for an extra cycle if you don't have the experience you need. If clinics aren't allowing prevets to shadow then there's not much you can do. Just be patient and keep in touch with clinics. You can ask them to contact you when they're allowing shadowing again (but don't take it personally if they forget--we are crazy busy right now).
@people in human medicine: bet you can’t say you’ve had a patient come in because they ate staples lol

Exam 2 for my Honors Biology 🧬 studying with someone definitely helps and it flows more like a conversation and it really sticks in my brain.
[2/30]
I’ve been sick the past couple days (not corona dw) so so much for doing the 30 days all in a row lol. Buuut I have a physics exam tomorrow so now it’s the real studyblr hours oops
🐷 what course have you taken that you think will help you out the most in vet school?
for me the most helpful class I’ve taken so far is probably molecular genetics, but I’m taking biochemistry now which I also love! For anyone signing up for courses soon, I’ve also heard that animal histology is one of the most helpful classes to take before vet school, I’m taking it next semester! :)
I’d be so mad if i were in medical or veterinary school right now during this pandemic
maybe the first year or two because it’s mostly lectures but i can’t imagine doing clinicals right now?? there’s no way to accurately imitate surgery, er medicine, phlebotomy, intubation, etc. through a computer screen!!
