     “c’mon, i know they’ve said something to you about it. you’re one of their best friends, quinn.” sade narrows her eyes at him, crossing her arms over her chest. “what are my brothers planning for my birthday?” it’s not for another month and a half, but if she knows her family members, they’ve already started planning big things for her birthday. they always do every year. “tell them i don’t want to do anything big for my birthday,” there’s a shock. she’s usually the first one to go all out on a day that’s all about her. “i just want to have a small little get together. the night before. and on the day of my birthday i want to go on vacation for a week or two. preferably somewhere warm and sunny.”

     “i win.” her braids hung around them like a curtain, blocking them from the outside world. this was a game they liked to play every so often, maybe a few times a week. there was nothing sade enjoyed more than play wrestling with her significant other, something that her friends didn’t understand. ‘i could never do that!’ ‘what if you two ended up hurting each other?’ it took all her might not to roll her eyes at them. that was the difference between her relationship and there’s - she considered the person underneath her to be more than her significant other, but her friend too. maybe even her best friend. and best friends play wrestled, didn’t they? “i told you i was gonna beat that ass when i saw you.”

     Saying that Sade hated her job was an understatement. The long hours, the loud noises, the awfully hot costume, the endless amounts of kids - she hated it all. But there was one thing that she hated most of all and that was her prince - for lack of a better term. The guy she had to work with was honestly the worst. They couldn’t seem to get along to save their lives, and what made it even worst is that they had to spend twelve hours a day pretending to be in love. “Can I have a picture with you and the prince?” The voice of a little kid reached her ears, and she couldn’t help but melt. Sade hated how her job required her to interact with hundreds of kids a day, but that didn’t mean she hated kids. A wide smile spread across her face and she nodded. “Of course you can!” She threw a look at her “prince” before turning back to the little girl and holding out her hand. “We’d love to, wouldn’t we?”
