Let’s start with Eridan!
You dying in his arms
Something he’s never even thought about
He’s not squeamish about blood but
YOURS?

He hates it
So much.
It’s disgusting
It’s vile
It’s terrifying!!
He HATES IT!
The thing he feels first is anger
He can’t tell if the tears in his eyes are from sadness that you’re gone, or hatred for whatever killed you
Whether it was a creature, another troll or human, or even if it was an accidental death, he is KILLING
He won’t stop until the person that killed you is obliterated
Or if something his you and killed you by accident, he breaks it as best he can
Your body lays nearby as he does so
Lashing out and breaking and killing whatever’s around
He’s just so ANGRY
The sadness hits him like a semi-truck halfway through his crashout.
He cries harder, holding your dead, bloody body in his arms, sobbing and telling you how he’s sorry
He goes on a crying rant about how he could have protected you and how he’s so sorry
Begging you to wake up
If you were wearing any accessories he’s taking them
If you were wearing any jewelry he takes it
He needs something, anything, to remember you by.
If you were wearing any rings he gently takes them off your fingers, holding your fingers as if they’d break or something if he wasn’t careful.
He hates how limp your hand is…
He takes whatever rings you had on if you had any, and if you had a bracelet or something he gently and oh-so-carefully takes it off.
If you were wearing a necklace he hesitates a little to get close to your neck or face
It freaks him out
He hates how your face looks when your eyes are open and still staring. It’s weird. It never bothered him before. But it’s different
It’s you.
He gently takes the necklace off you and pockets it.
And whatever other accessories you had, maybe an earring, any little thing he could have as a keepsake.
He keeps whatever he could take from you. Treasures it
It’s all he’s got left of you and he keeps it for a long, long time
He wears any jewelry he had from you too
Also, I saw a headcannon that all of his rings are from past failed relationships
He buys, or finds, or commissions one to represent you
It’s special, it’s not because you broke up or something, it’s because you died.
After you die, it takes him weeks to get a full night of sleep
He constantly dreams about it
Dreams of holding you as you bleed again
He wakes up and looks down as if he expects you to be there
But you haven’t been anywhere for weeks
He cries
And he hates that he cries.

If he gets to hold you AS you die, like you’re bleeding out or something
He’s talking to you
Trying to be calm for you
Trying to cheer you up
Just smile, PLEASE smile that’s all he needs
He’s crying but he’s still telling you you’re gonna be fine

He tells you to focus on him
Focus on his voice
Look at him, please look at him

If you do smile it makes him cry a little more. He thanks you and holds you a little tighter, telling you about how much he loves you and how he wishes he could help you
He watches the light leave your eyes.
He doesn’t really cry all that much yet.
Kinda like Eridan, his first reaction is to lash out and kill everything
ANYTHING
He kills somebody, breaks everything in his path
He after a few hours of running around killing everything he can find, or more so breaking anything he can find
He comes back to your body and brings it to his hive
He Helds you bridal style telling you how he’s gonna take good care of you
He keeps you like a weird fucked up doll.
He keeps your body someplace safe, and he constantly apologizes to your dead corpse that he couldn’t save you
He prays constantly about you
He keeps you in his respiteblock probably
Sits in his hornpile, positioning your body so he could cuddle you. He hates how cold you are now.
He drinks some faygo, pretends to share some with you and rambles about how much he misses you
He doesn’t leave his hive for weeks, barely talks to anybody
People get worried about him, karkat or tavros Check in on him
They end up helping him a lot through the whole grief thing
BUT SHHH WE ARENT HERE FOR THEM TO GET HELF WERE HERE FOR ANGST
So yeah no he does go a little crazy about you dying
Keeps your corpse longer than he should
For the record he should have thrown it out immediately but he wanted to keep you around
He keeps your body safe, doesn’t let anybody see it.
He sleeps with it sometimes.
