Another draw for @theheirofashandfire, on this chapter of Loose thread because I'm rereading all the aurë entuluva series lately : the first meeting between Saelwen and Maedhros.

I really love this character, she's so interesting !! And so cool !! And also you always need a competent woman when you least expect it.

The fact that she knows him since post-thangorodrim and is thus Not Impressed makes their dynamic really interesting like yes, this is my lord. Yes he is very scary-clever smt and also a fool in love and also I was guarding his sickroom before we properly met and damn does he has the will to live

I didn't particularly knew what she looked like. She is said to have dark hair repeatedly over the series, but all the rest is pure vibe on my part. I hope I did her justice !

“How’s Fingon?” Saelwen says slyly when he finds her.

Maedhros gives her a flat look. “Every cycle you take an unusual amount of glee in knowing that we married,” he says. “It is disconcerting.”

“I am your loyal subject,” Saelwen protests with a very put-upon gasp. “I just want what is best for my lord. His wellbeing and safety are my utmost concern.”
