I made a Witcher OC 

This is Saetha, trained in the School of the Cat caravan Dyn Marv when she was taken as a child by the Law of Surprise. As a modern Feline her emotions are intense and often volatile, to control them she puts heavy emphasis on meditation and herbal drinks. She abandoned the caravan as an adult and returned to the ancestral home of the Cats in the ruins of Stygga Citadel to re-learn the old Witcher ways from the texts still surviving in the keep. 

Now she works alone, facing prejudice not only for her ears and her status as a Witcher, but further distrust due to the reputation of her School. She maintains a strict code of conduct that she learned from an older Witcher she once travelled with, who hailed from the School of the Bear, and tries to better her School’s reputation among her fellow Witchers. 

(And before you tell me women can’t be Witchers, the School of the Cat is one of the few that train women, and elves can’t be Witchers in canon I’m sure, but in the words of Marillka that’s probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, and I’m throwing canon out the window sue me)

Hey, have you seen this? What do you think of it?

The title of this blog is "Gamesjournalismintegrity" which is kind of an oxymoron. I don't want to "See current games journalists be held accountable", because they're not going to be. I want them gone. The only way in which games journalism should continue is for us to do a hard reset. Get actual people with actual journalism degrees - because just about none of the current people have these - who actually post about games instead of "I used the word 'rape' online. Am I a rapist?"

I think this protest is being organized with the best intentions, but when the only media to report on it will be the media that you are protesting, it's not going to end well. Right now that post has ~200 notes, right? Even if all 200 of them live in the Seattle area, and go to protest, PAX is a 10,000+ person event, it's really not enough to dent it. 

Because any positive articles going "Yeah, okay they have a point" will be admittance of corruption, which as we've seen in the past few days, they will not admit. So therefore there won't be any positive articles. Even if local news pick up on it, it won't be NBC, it would be like "KCTS 5 Fox Seattle"

Instead it will be "Misogynists gather at PAX to say they hate women in gaming. Typical." When you're protesting the people who will be reporting on your protest, it won't end well.

The best way to protest these sites is to just stop going to them - or if you do go, enable adblock.

Run the sites into the ground, ruin their financial stability, force them to realize they've alienated the majority of their audience, and that those who they haven't alienated dislike the site so much they won't give them ad space.

If you do see advertisements, send e-mails to those companies saying you feel uncomfortable with them endorsing such morally corrupt sites, and that you won't be purchasing their product because of it.

Protesting PAX seems like a good idea, but I don't know. It might go really well, but I suspect given the incestuous nature of the industry - and Penny Arcade's "Please don't be mad at us we'll give you literally anything you want" attitude towards games journalism, I suspect it will end poorly.
