Angelo had been sitting alone at his table, when he caught his eye. The music was thrumming, the movers were shaking, and the air was alive with a buzz of the electric feeling that comes from a good time.
The wolves wouldn’t be the only ones to enjoy the moonshine that night.
He could feel it, the nagging heat of hungry eyes. He was used to it. Always watched for some reason or another. He made no move to acknowledge his admirer, simply took a sip of his drink. Especially on nights like this, when he was dressed like sin. Men were quick to mistake him, short haired wavy hair, slim tiny thing; pretty as a penny she was. Let them, it made no difference to him.
He put it out of his mind. For once, he wasn’t looking for a dance.

100% agree. i was actually writing a post about this very topic myself that's sitting in my drafts somewhere. i think he's very much preoccupied with the idea of having power over people / dominating them to the point that he's developed the compulsion to always be smiling and never show anything he sees as "weakness." i think he sees the people around him as toys to play with and pawns to use more than he sees them as people. it's very much a toxic solipsist sort of view i think that even if he DOES genuinely like/respect/have affection for people, he still doesn't see them as "real" on the same level as he sees himself and he's always going to prioritise his own gain over everyone else's. i think he's incredibly charming and knows how to make himself seem "harmless enough" to the people he wants to make deals with/the people he wants to trust him. it's insidious and sleazy as hell.

Like I don’t think I can ever personally. Stress enough how I think Alastor sees everyone ESPECIALLY Charlie and his motivations.
I had a little talk with my friend Tord and I brought up like. Alastor explaining his reason with Charlie. But replacing ‘entertainment’ with something similar to power gain.
He’s grown bored and lacked purpose. How is he going to rank up in hell? He hasn’t had a chance to reign and prove his power and pull himself up the later. “Lacking inspiration for decades. Complete and utter BOREDOM.” Talking how seeing demons continuing to tumble into pit of failure

My friend Tord mentioned and noted, which is something I noted myself, is Alastor wasn’t WITH the other top demons in their little pent house. I personally thought possibly it showed how detached Alastor was/felt with them, but they mentioned possibly Alastor is lowered ranked underneath them.
Wanting to usurp power; he’s a power hungry demon. What better way to climb the ranks then get the princess under your thumb and work your way straight to the hierarchy itself?
Of course. My opinion.
But I really just.
I refuse to believe he’s here for JUST entertainment.
