Step-by-Step Guide of renting a Safety Deposit Box
Keeping your valuables safe is a big concern for many people. However, with the provision of safe deposit boxes, you can have a peace of mind that your valuables and important documents are safe and secure. Here is a guide that explains the step-by-step process on how to rent a safety deposit box.
Step 1- Make a call
The first step is to make a call and arrange an appointment. The appointment will take approximately 30 minutes.
Step 2 - Complete the online application form
The 2nd step is to complete the online application form (available on the website) with all the required information.
Step 3 - Documents
Bring the required documents with you to the appointment. The two essential documents required are –
Passport or Driver’s License
Proof of address received within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, council tax etc.)
Step 4- Itemise your Possessions to be Stored
Take photos of all the valuables, cash and documents you anticipate to store, then make an exhaustive inventory list. Bring all items with you to the first appointment.
Step 5- Select a Safety Deposit Box
Choose an appropriate box according to your needs. If you are uncertain regarding the box size, place all your valuables and documents inside a box, and see if it is big enough. After deciding on a safety deposit box, you can pay via cash, cheque or card.
Step 6- Access
Approach the ‘Facial Recognition Reader’. It will scan your facial features, and only takes moments to complete. These details are then stored in our systems for security purposes. For all future visits, you will asked to do this, as this is our Biometric Screening process. A staff member will then accompany you to the vault where your box will b stored.
Step 7- Use of Keys
You will be given two keys. Access to your safety deposit box is with a dual key lock. The other key is with a staff member. To open and close the box, both keys should be entered.
Now the registration process is over and you can easily access your box when needed. For all visits, please call us to schedule. We’re open 7 days a week.
