Now that I've had time to recover, as messed up as it is, I keep laughing seeing others' reactions to Saga 54. I imagine this is almost what it felt like to have read the books and then watched people react to The Red Wedding episode on Game of Thrones.
Saga and The Flash Spoilers
So between The Flash episode this week and Saga Volume 9 releasing last week I am really sad at the fact that the universe/creators just don’t want fathers to be in their daughters lives?? Marko and Barry literally do not get to see their daughters grow up.
Even in the short amount of time that Marko got with Hazel, he had also missed a lot of her firsts in the 3 years they were apart-- they literally only had 3/6 years of her life together! And he just died trying to be a good person, trying to be someone worthy of his daughter, and I just want to cry so much when I think about it. My poor baby Hazel, she doesn’t even know yet.
And Barry?? Barry freaking Allen, who grew up without his parents, and only wanted for life to go right in this one way, will only get a similar amount of time with his daughter, but she won’t even remember him? Nora, a born speedster, was never taught anything by her dad, never got to know him as a dad. And now they get this stolen time together, but what if it results in Nora never being born? What if we get a John Diggle Jr. situation????
I just, am so sad. Why can’t fathers and daughters have happy endings?
