thoughts on the new iteration of bionicles? also thoughts on those weird star wars-themed bionicle-esque things they did a while back

i think G2 didn’t have quite the same charm, but a lot of that stems from the fact that much of the early G1 stuff managed to build up this intriguing, mysterious vibe largely by accident - there were games and material planned for the early lore that ended up getting cancelled because early-00s LEGO was circling the drain and scrabbling to get much of anything out the door, leaving out of context scenes and renders and leaving us to fill in the gaps

G2, on the other hand, already had a hell of a set of shoes to fill from the start, and was developed in an era when LEGO had a lot more experience dabbling in multimedia brands so we had things like the netflix show present from the outset - not to mention, we were all 14 years older at that point and had lost a lot of that childhood sense of mystique (i’m sure folks who were kids during the G2 years will look back on G2 with a similar fondness)

as for the star wars constraction stuff, it worked well for droids and masked characters like K-2SO or general grievous, but looked downright offputting for anything organic - between the offputting aesthetic, the sky-high MSRP (they were like $20 a pop), and the way they all shelfwarmed, i’m genuinely flummoxed as to how they continued for three years in a row and i’m pretty sure it was pressure from disney more than anything

A lot, actually. Amha has, especially in recent years, never had good meals. She’s very... thin and not used to big meals (or eating regularly at all,) so a lot of foods tend to give her stomach aches.

For the most part, though, overly spicy food tends to make her very sick, since she’s not used to it over everything else.

That’s actually really hard to answer, on both ends.

Anhe never likes to lie, and will only do so if absolutely pressed. I’d venture that the biggest lie she told was to her mother’s ‘mother’- which is, that she’d look to her for support and advice if needed.

Her phrasing was more vague- ‘if I need it’, and so on, which wasn’t a lie- she’s just never needed it. But close enough?

Kete, meanwhile, lies so much that lies mean pretty much nothing to him. Most words don’t mean much- sure, bonds are bonds and promises are promises, but he suits his whims and his whims alone, when it really comes down to it. I don’t think he’s ever told a lie so big that it’d count as going against his character...

But it likely was ‘I’ll do what you ask of me’, to his former employers at Akais.

I dye my hair pretty much whenever the mood strikes, though lately because of my job my options are limited so I haven’t colored my hair in about a year or so.As for occupations, when I was a kid I wanted to be a pop star. Like, I held on to that dream for way too long. lol
