Im actually going insane thinking about Alpha!Sage whose usually so soft and gentle during sex going feral during her rut and completely ignoring your pleasure just thrusting and whining into your neck about how good it feels to be inside you ughhhhhhh
It was easy for you to avoid Sage after an operation. She was always waiting at the exit of the aircraft hangar to check on any potential hurt agent. You just had to avoid the corridor she always used and rushed in your room. There, you had all the time to patch yourself up alone and peacefully.
You often did that and nothing ever diverged you from that routine. It was simple : ending an operation, coming back in your room, patching yourself up, waiting for your self-healing powers to awake by themselves and do the rest of the work, then eating.
Then why could you hear Sage knocking on your door while you weren't even done taking care of your injuries ?
"Are you there ?" she asked.
You looked up at the door, an annoyed scowl present on your trait.
"What do you want ?"
Ever so soft, Sage's voice reached your ears very clearly.
"I heard from your teammates that you were hurt. I want to check on your injuries."
You didn't even try to conceal the exasperated groan that escaped your throat. But of course, it didn't seem to deter her. On the contrary, it seemed to fuel her determination to help you even more.
"What are you doing ?" she questioned.
You looked down at your first aid kit and the needle and the thread planted deep in your skin, in the process of closing your wound. In fact, your first aid kit was a bit more than that. Most of the supplies present in it could normally be found in an ambulance vehicle. It wasn't your first time picking a needle and a thread to patch yourself up after an operation, and you knew it won't be your last time. It wasn't a big deal for you anyway. Your self-healing abilities were slow, but efficient.
"Knitting," you answered casually.
"Could you please interrupt your activity so I could check on you ?"
"Don't wanna. Go away."
You did not expect her to respect your wish, but she did. You heard her steps moving away from your door as you let out a relieved sigh. Your routine was briefly interrupted that day, but you could resume it very easily.
Which was not the case the other days.
One day, instead of waiting at the first exit of the aircraft hangar like she usually did, Sage waited right at the exit of the VLR/T.
Annoying but easy, you just had to take the other exit.
Another day, she was waiting at the second exit of the aircraft hangar instead of the first.
Once again, annoying but easy, you took the first exit and rushed in your room.
A wall suddenly raised right before you in the corridor ? You took a turn and made a detour.
It was easy for you to avoid Sage, but it wasn't easy for Sage to let you avoid her. So when you found her one day right in front of your door, you didn't stop the loud and deeply irritated exhale from escaping your lungs.
"I just want to check on you," she said calmly.
"And I just want you to leave me alone," you hissed. "Is it that hard to understand ?"
You saw her eyes staring at the wound on your shoulder —wound that was already very slowly closing itself— and the twitch in her fingers.
"I can help."
"Doubtful," you shook your head and pushed her out of your way. "Go find another injured agent and stop wasting your time with me."
"Oh, you again?" - Sage carefully places some medicine on her desk, then turns to you. - "Didn't I tell you to be more careful, Y/N."
You didn't answer anything and only smiled softly, taking a seat on the edge of her bed. The mattress sagged under your weight and you unconsciously wanted to lie down completely. But the cleanliness of the healer's linens kept you from doing so.
"I can't bear to see you come back again and again with such wounds. You're one of the best, sweetheart,"- the soothing coldness along with Sage's soft voice wraps you in a cocoon of calm and peace. You cover your eyes and savor the rare moment when a woman can devote time to just you.
It's not often that you get to even just sit down to chat. The eternal work steals from you free minutes, from which your flame is always in a critical state. That weak flame can hardly keep itself from the cold of unpredictable events in the protocol, then it flares up to an unprecedented fire, when you all de can already give each other an hour of time.
"I miss you, Wei-Wei," - you lift an eye and look at the woman, who stops the healing process and looks into your eyes with regret. -" I just want to be in your arms a little longer."
"And that's why you go ahead of everyone else every time, so you can be sure to be at my place? "- The brunette shakes her head, clearly unhappy with the situation, but the faint smile on her face shows that she's actually pleased with your eagerness. - "You don't change, my dear. And scolding you is useless. Come to me."
She spreads her arms, inviting you in. You fall contentedly into her arms, inhaling her lulling scent that takes away the last of your strength after a hard battle. Though your idyll doesn't last long, you cherish every second of it.
Sage froze her movements and raised her gaze from your injury to look at you with a lost expression.
"Excuse me ?"
It wasn't the first time you asked her these kind of questions. However, she will never get use to it. It seemed like you were particularly inspired when you were wounded.
"Well, since you can revive people and all that, what if you could do something in between ? Like, reviving but not really reviving."
She momentarily wondered if you had lost too much blood. Or if you had breathed the new plants Skye was gardening a little too much. She focused back on your still bleeding injury with a small sigh and resumed her ministrations.
"I am very doubtful of zombies existence."
You hummed, your feet momentarily swinging and she had to stop your movements to focus more on your injury.
"Well, I've seen Brimstone on a sunday morning and he could make anyone believe in their existence." you said with a shrug.
Sage's eyes raised again to look at you with an almost exasperated glint.
"Plus, if a being like Omen exist, why not zombies ?" you added. "I'm saying that respectfully, of course. No diss to Omen. He's a cool knitting cutie patootie."
She found nothing to respond to that, so she just resumed on disinfecting your wound. While she sometimes found your trail of thoughts amusing, she could not help but worry that someday you might submit to those crazy idea that ran free in your mind.
"I'll ask Viper if she could make me a concoction."
Hey moss! Hoping for sage with reader that’s scared of fire? Missions with phoenix always causes trouble. Feel free to ignore!

based on the request above.
CONTENT WARNING. 18+ only, minors dni. SFW CONTENT UNDER THE CUT; gn reader, use of y/n, fear of fire, mention of injuries/burns, | ~0.7k words
A/N. well this might be a little vague, but i hope this little fluffy piece makes up for all the waiting. thank you for requesting and reading, hope you guys enjoy !!!
from very early on it was apparent to sage that pairing you up with phoenix on missions wasn’t a good idea but she couldn’t do as she pleased with the schedule limitlessly, and she couldn’t write herself up with your group all the time either. she tried as much she could and she spoke to phoenix about it, much to your dismay, that he should keep a few steps between the two of you unless it’s absolutely necessary to keep close.
“you have to keep it in mind okay? take care of y/n for me.” it might have earned an irritated sigh from james every time sage talked about it, but that was only because it was always what sage spoke about with him before and after the missions. he couldn’t blame her, he himself noticed too how you wince whenever the two of you are between covers together, how you would look away and squeeze at your uniform or gun whenever he used one of his abilities.
“i got this doc! your girl is safe with me.” he’d assure the healer but no matter what he said, ling was always gonna be worried sick about you no matter how careful anyone promised to be. sage would’ve kept running over what james needed to keep in mind but he didn’t give her the chance to as he boarded the vulture with a smile and a wave, her worry for you spiking once again. she scanned the bustling crowd, searching for your familiar figure amidst the chaos of the mission prep area. her heart sank when she couldn’t immediately spot you.
“where are you, y/n?” she muttered under her breath, her gaze darting from one face to another.
no matter how much phoenix reassured her, sage couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease. ling knew too well that no matter how careful anyone promised to be, accidents could happen. and she couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to you.
as the minutes ticked by and the vulture prepared for takeoff, sage’s anxiety only grew. she pushed her way through the crowd, ehr eyes still scanning for you. finally, she caught sight of you near the edge of the platform, adjusting your gear with a nervous expression.
relief flooded through her as she made her way toward you, her steps quickening with each stride. when she reached you, she placed a hand on your shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“hey, are you okay?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
she had seen you coming back from the missions before, involving flames, it didn’t end well, to say the least. you already had some burn marks from some previous incidents that happened before you joined the protocol. it wasn’t something you had the pleasure of talking about, covered yourself up pretty well to avoid the faces and pitiful words. it has been getting better, you were trying to get better for the sake of the missions but not everything was a bullet train.
you glanced up at her, offering a weak smile. “yeah, just a little nervous, i guess.”
sage nodded understandingly, her gaze softening. “i talked to james, and he said he will make sure that he isn’t near you unless it is absolutely necessary.”
you offered her a grateful smile even though you were a bit embarrassed by her babysitting, you still felt a wave of comfort wash over you with your hand slipping on your shoulder to take hers.
“thanks for being scared instead of me,” you raised your voice as the vulture started up, stepping a bit closer to sage and pressing a kiss to her cheek. you wanted to stall for a second longer, let the warmth of her hand in your linger but work was calling. “text you when we land! i love you!” you yell over the roar of the ship’s engine.
as the vulture roared to life and began its ascent, sage stayed rooted to the spot, watching with a mix of pride and apprehension as the aircraft disappeared into the clouds. she couldn’t shake off the nagging feeling of worry that gnawed at her insides. she knew you were in good hands with all the other agents around.
“i won’t be having dinner again…” she murmured to herself as she headed back to her office.
