What advice would you give to a Sagittarius/Scorpio cusp looking to add astrology to their practices?

I’m one of the few astrologers who does read cusps but I still need to know which side you’re on to fully answer it, so I’ll answer both Scorpio and Sagittarius in relation to astrology. Also, Jupiter and Mercury tend to have to do with how we learn, but I’ll do my best to answer this without that info.
For a Scorpio Sun, regardless of the house, if you want to incorporate astrology into your daily practices I would also look into other forms of magic. For the Scorpio Sun, astrology would likely be about understanding other people (either to help them or to “teach” them in only the way a Scorpio can haha) so I would also recommend looking into mostly the psychological side of astrology. I personally associate the cusp of Scorpio about to transition to Sagittarius with being very comfortable in the dark, but also a little jaded to the world so I ask that you please be mindful of how much power astrology will give you.
For a Sagittarius Sun, regardless of house, if you want to incorporate astrology into your daily practices, I would advise you to find the humorous parts of astrology and associate your practices with jokes. Traveling and experiencing other cultures will give you a reference point because Sagittarius tends to use astrology to find the best way to live. It likes looking at the theories astrology provides and make a set of standards to live by. I personally associate the cusp of Sagittarius just out of Scorpio as finally being unable to bear looking at the world’s darkness and instead trying to laugh at it, so the practice of astrology may prove to bring up a lot of pain for you.
i've always felt slightly at odds with my star sign, but finding out i'm a capricorn-sagittarius cusp seems to explain everything. capricorns are suppose to be very stern and money/work oriented, which i am not, so this definitely gives me clarity as to why i don't fit the typical capricorn description and sounds a lot more like me:
