This coming week the main will look very slow, and replies will come slowly. One admin is out sick and in the busy session of school, and the other is going through finals and then going on vacation from the 11th-15th.
Please don’t think we have abandoned the roleplay, as we would never do that without discussing with the members or at least giving you a warning, and I can tell you now that I definitely have no plans of that happening anyway.
We love you all, and trust you to keep the dash active during our busy week, and be patient with us on responses. I (Molly) will have the main logged in on my phone while at Disney, and can reply to anything major as quickly as possible, but again, I’ll be on vacation and don’t intend on being on my phone much.

Hey lovebugs, just a quick note from me. We’ve had a few people mention the dash being flooded with NSFW / Porn gif sets. We all love them and let’s be real, this is a smut rp. But please bare in mind that they’re not considered activity, and flooding the dash with them is frustrating especially to those on mobile where blacklists do not work (and even safe mode is not all that safe as I myself found out yesterday.)
I’m not saying don’t post them, but perhaps consider queueing them so that they come once, twice a day and people know when to expect them. It’s not fair to have to tell someone ‘don’t check tumblr from your phone because there’s a whole bunch of porn spam.’ especially when the admins themselves are usually on mobile during the day answering questions too.

Every year during April, the campus is overtaken by loud jazz music, as well as different magic aspects such as creatures flying around the campus, and a week long carnival takes place throughout the entire campus, starting the night after the opening parade and announcements from the University President. Every stereotypical carnival aspect is brought to life at Sorciere Academy, but bigger and better. Magical rides, enormous funnel cakes and beignets, pie eating contests, bobbing for apples, jazz music almost coming from nowhere, any food you can imagine on a stick or fried, kissing booths, and anything else you can imagine.
This year, the administration has added a welcome event for the Fae, so in line with celebrating Spring, faculty and students are also asked to give a warm welcome to the newcomers, and invite them into the fun of the festival.

The event will run from Wednesday, April 11th, at 12:00 am, until Friday, April 20th, at 11:59 am, EST. Until the official start, players are encouraged to plot, and even post things related to setting up the carnival’s opening night. Players are asked to tag all event related starters with #sahqspring, and optionally #sahqevent. Threads from before the event are not required to be paused, as that is up to each individual member. Please run all major plots by the admins. Fae are now a playable species, and apps will be accepted for them.

On a bright morning, the sound of jazz music fills the air a booming parade storming around the campus in what seems like all directions. Huge butterflies and other creatures fly through the air, almost as if by magic. Those not already awake stumble outside to see the magic, sparks flying, music playing, everything is beautiful.
The Spring Festival has begun.
The parades all lead to the quad, stopping around what seems to be some sort of rally, people clapping and cheering around a stage, and the university President of the school standing in the center of it. Yet the people clapping look unfamiliar to all who look upon them, some statuesque, some cheerful, but all strikingly beautiful and fearsome in the same right. Once more students and faculty gather, the President takes to the mic.
“Greetings all, and good morning. I would like to start this off by welcoming some very special guests to the Academy. Many of you have wondered what the new Briar Hall has been built for, and today your questions will be answered. I would like to welcome our newest additions to the staff and faculty here at Sorciere: The fae!”
Some cheer, some stand in shock, some even seem angry. Fae have not been seen on Earth for centuries, rarely heard from and almost thought to be extinct, yet there they stood, and there they were.
“Now, as a celebration, our annual Spring Festival will also serve as a welcoming party for our new friends. I look forward to seeing all of your faces at the Spring Festival Carnival opening tonight!”
More cheering, more shock, but the President exits the stage, and the music roars back up, only one thing is for sure, those dubbed the Dark Coven will not be amused.
