Close range combat had always been a struggle for Deidara, from a young age he had managed to be good enough to pass his testing, but not enough for a full out battle with nothing but taijutsu. Deidara is skilled nonetheless. He would train as hard as he could to defeat the barrier that was his mastering the arts in whole, yet it seemed that no matter how hard he tried when it came to nothing but taijutsu he would falter greatly.
He might experiment on his art most of the time, but he always takes time to train his taijutsu skills, and increase them, even if he is strong enough to make his way out of a battle with but a few injuries.

How long had it been? The adolescent ANBU operative couldn't help but think about that as he made his way towards Sunagakure. When he had the opportunity to go, he immediately took it. How could he pass up a chance to see one of his closest friends? Its not like they could see each other everyday since it was a pretty good ways away to travel.
He wondered if the Kazekage would even recognize him in this uniform. The last time they had seen each other, he was still a mere genin but since the war ended, he was able to work really hard and work closer and closer to his dream. Being in the ANBU was a step closer, that's for sure.
In his reminiscence, he had almost forgotten where he was going and brought his concentration back there. He was still on an assignment, so he had to keep most of his focus on there.
It wasn't long before the all too familiar Suna border came into view, waving at the guards as he walked past it. They only asked him a couple brief questions before allowing him to pass. He didn't need anyone to escort him, he knew where he was going.
As he made his way to the Kazekage tower, the blond thought of an idea. He would try to mask his voice as much as possible and see if Gaara could recognize him. He couldn't help but chuckle a little under his mask and acknowledge himself for coming up with such a plan.
The entrance into the office was in front of him after a couple more moments of walking. Naruto lifted one of his hands to knock, hoping he was there. When he got the okay to come in, he opened the door and stood in the entryway with his hands behind his back.
With a cough, the blond explained why he was there, while masking his voice. "Kazekage-sama, I'm here to deliver something from Tsunade Oba... From the Hokage I mean!"
"... I desire to see you happy."

Naruto couldn't help but smile softly at the comment from the Kazekage. He wanted nothing more than that not only for himself, but for everyone around him too. Everyone deserves happiness. "You too, Gaara."
