Dangerous Whumpee
CW: Restraints, muzzled, collared
Whumper keeps Whumpee in an excessive amount of restraints (can’t move an inch for chains, collared, muzzled) to ensure that they won’t break out - even if Whumpee is completely cooperative
Whumpee who does fight back, who bites, claws, scratches, does everything they can to cause as much damage to Whumper as possible
Whumper who “has to” keep Whumpee constantly sedated
Whumpee is a danger to themself, intentionally or not, so Whumper has to protect them before they fatally injure themselves
Nonhuman Whumpee is percieved as dangerous and muzzled/shock collared before they can plead their case, if they even can
Caretaker who is scared of Whumpee!
Stranger Caretaker arriving to rescue Whumpee after defeating Whumper but hesitating when they realise who or what Whumpee is
Whumpee’s hope turning to dread as they see this, and silently begging for mercy
Whumpee who lashes out at Caretaker, who hurts then one day, and guilt hits them at full force
Whumpee who believes they’re a danger to Caretaker and takes it upon themself to remove themself from the equation
Caretsker who flinches when Whumpee moves suddenly
Whumpee wakes up after being rescued, filled with relief - only when they try to move they notice the chains, and the muzzle
Or Whumpee wakes up in a hospital but is restrained to the bed “for their own safety”
Whumpee is a living weapon or villain and everyone is scared of them - except Caretaker’s child
Whumpee who tries to be gentle and unassuming to win the favour of those around them
I love a defiant whumpee that slowly loses steam over the course of captivity, but never gets less defiant.
Starting out biting and kicking and screaming, lashing out at anyone who gets close like a rabid dog.
When they run out of energy to thrash, they’re spitting insults, hurling threats and curses at everyone in earshot.
By the time they can’t shout anymore, they’re sneering and flipping the bird at anyone who can see them.
Once all they can do is lift their head, they raise up just enough to glare and spit blood at their captor.
Whumper who triggers Whumpee's fawn/freeze response with close proximity and a gentle hand on their face, just caressing them despite the hurtful intent behind it.
Whumpee whose defiance dies as their brain shuts down once they're touched in any manner resembling intimacy, just staring wide-eyed at Whumper who coos unnerving things into their ear
pipeline: defiant to compliant
“I’ll never get on my knees for you,” to having bruises on their knees from dropping into the position so regularly.
Fighting against whumper; scratching them, biting them, hitting them to crawling after them, cowering away from them, begging them.
Refusing to eat anything to desperately eating whatever scraps whumper gives them.
Never breaking eye contact to being too ashamed to look anyone in the eyes.
“F*ck you!” to “Stop!” to “Please, stop! I won’t do it again!” to “Please stop, Master, I promise I won’t do it again.” to “I’m sorry, Master, please don’t punish me,” to “I’m sorry, please punish me, Master,”
Constantly attempting to escape whumper to willingly returning to them.
Believing caretaker will save them to knowing they don’t deserve to be saved.
Loud objections to barely discernible pleas.
Don’t touch me to Please touch me, you’re the only one that will.
Only responding to their name to scrambling to obey whenever they hear their new “pet” name.
Smooth, clean skin to dirty, greasy skin littered with scars and bruises.
Defiant Whumpee is slouching against the concrete wall, covered in fresh bruises and blood. They don't have the energy to move at all and everything hurts. Still, they didn't break. They didn't give a kick during the beating. Didn't scream. Didn't cry. Didn't beg. Didn't make a single sound.
It's driving Whumper crazy that they can't get a reaction out of Whumpee. After yet another unsuccessful torture session they storm out of the basement. In their anger they don't pay attention to the low doorframe and bang their head against it, hard. "Ahh!" They yell out.
Whumpee chuckles.
Whumpee chuckles.
The first sound that Whumper gets out of Whumpee, and it's a chuckle of amusement because of Whumper's pain.
Whumper sees red. They turn around, more enraged than they have ever been in all their life.
"Oh you're gonna regret this," they snarl, an almost murderous look in their eyes.
Whumpee quickly whipe the smirk from their face, willing their eyes not to betray what they feel deep inside.
Crap, I've done it now.
a character so used to being mistreated that they react with fearful aggression towards anyone trying to help. they see a threat everywhere and always expect the worst. attacking and spitting insults at anyone who shows them compassion. panicked recoiling at any attempt at affection. so so terrified of harm that all they can do is snap and bite at anyone who gets too close. willing to do anything to protect themselves.
whumpee who scratches, bites, growls at anyone who attempts to get close. any offerings of comfort are perceived as threats simply because they've never had those before. it is different. they're used to cruelty, not blankets and good food and touch that doesn't hurt.
when alone, they find themself crying— for no reason, apparently, because isn't this place far better than the one they've come from? nothing hurts, and despite the debilitating confusion, these people haven't tried anything. it'll take a long time for them to realise that it is because despite their best efforts, they've come to think of this room as a safe place— and the lack of violence is abrupt and unexpected and distressing.
and one day, whumpee goes too far and actually injures caretaker— suddenly regret crashes through the fear, which in turn is poisoned with more fear, and now they're sobbing out apologies, begging caretaker to not throw them out, to not send them back, and please, I'll be good, I'll stay still, you can beat me, please don't let me go.
