The fact she has weaponized the rooted fear of POC to create whisper campaigns against people is so fucked. Like, all it took was her saying Bdave was a predator with zero proof and people believed her. Because 1) she’s a woman in a very male dominated space. 2) she’s a white woman in a very male centered space. And 3) she is using the fact in many TTRPG spaces in the modern era we know to believe women when they say ‘hey this person is bad’ because for so long that was the case.

Ugh I’m just disgusted.

I feel so bad for surena and Omar having to deal with this and i just hope it is cleared up quickly so they can move on and heal from it.

Well, well, well, another day, another reminder that the world hates women and victims. Omar Najam, D20 cast member, has been accused of sexual misconduct. It was so funny (but not surprising) to see the oh so radical and progressive Dropout fandom fall into the same discussions as the rest of the population. "The accuser is a bad person! Omar's closest friends and partner have come out in support of him!" All but saying Saige Ryan is a vindictive liar. But funny enough, they have no actual reasons that dispute her claims? All that stuff is secondary? No matter, she's a lying bitch. Omar isn't even that popular, ffs.

The woman recently posted proof on her story that these aren't just allegations. That he's actually being charged by THE STATE of California. Hopefully this will turn opinion but...I'm not optimistic. No matter what, I stand with victims. I don't care if she's a cheater or rude or whatever. There's no evidence she's lying, false accusations are rare, let's call a spade a spade. It's more likely a predator was being predatory, and as usual everyone came to his defense.

as someone who liked Saige up until recently, I think it's really telling that multiple POC within the ttrpg community have said that she's intentionally gone out of her way to harm them and/or fuck them over in some way

and on top of that multiple Dropout associates have come out in support against her, including Ify who worked with her at Smosh

If true (I don't have a source) that's a real damn shame. I hope that any victims of hers find peace and healing after what she's allegedly done. Nobody deserves to have something like that happen to them.
