Saigo Mikami - Ride Kamens
26 (Group project/team effort) or 50 (Meet cute) to put Kiyomi in situations? -🟡
Group project/team effort
(Back when Kiyomi worked for Tower Emblem, she had a chance to work with Uryu!)
Having worked for Tower Emblem before, Kiyomi wasn't exactly nervous. Okay, well she actually very much was, but saying it out loud was just admitting to defeat!
Spreadsheets definitely were not her thing though, and doing inventory was just mundane enough a task to really make her want to punch something out of desperation to have some form of stimulation.
It didn't help that Uryu was weirdly devoted to this whole endeavor, silently taking in the storage room and notating with incredible speed.
Kiyomi opened her mouth (which is always the first mistake) and asked, "How come you're not bored?"
"The faster I finish the less time I have to spend on it," was his swift reply, not even turning to face her.
Kiyomi let out an annoyed noise. "You're saying some random phrase that doesn't actually mean anything you know. You can admit you don't like something, you know that, right?"
This caused Uryu to budge, whirling around on his heel and rapidly bearing down on her.
"If you can't hold your tongue, you should just leave."
"Okay!"
Uryu genuinely looked startled at her response, the anger in his eyes quickly dissolving into confusion.
Kiyomi handed over her clipboard and moved to the door. "I guess that counts as a two week notice?"
Uryu gave no response, but she was already gone. He sighed, before looking down at her sheet to see how much work he had to cover, but--
"She already finished?"
What a weird girl.

(After getting fired from another job, Kiyomi has a chance encounter with a fellow showa!)
Now, if you're following simple logic, going to the convenience store to gorge on snacks immediately after getting fired was probably not the most efficient solution, given the obvious lack of consistent income.
However, food was her favorite pick-me-up, so dried squid and 500 yen onigiri was in high demand to soothe her woes.
She walked to a nearby park, sitting on a bench and humming discontentedly as she stared out at the scene. Before she had a chance to even open her spoils of war, she noticed a ladybug flying near her.
She went stock still, and soon the ladybug landed on her hand. "You're my lucky charm like always, huh."
As she was admiring the bug, she got a tap on her shoulder. Jumping a little, she looked up to see an older boy with an insect carrier looking at her with an unusually strong spark in his eyes.
"Can I have that ladybug?"
"Eh?"
The boy puffed out his cheeks momentarily before steeling his expression into something normal. "I'm Saigo, nice to meet you, can I have that ladybug."
Kiyomi started laughing. "That's a weird introduction, Saigo. I'm Kiyomi," as she spoke, she curled her hand gently into the carrier.
"I'm not sure if anyone's told you this, but you really should try to have more of a buffer between your intro and whatever you're asking for."
"Ah."
