1. rei enjoys musk and smoky scents. think mahogany teakwood from bath & body works, or midsummer's night from yankee candle. 2. she personally didn't know how to dress up herself until she met sailor senshi. 3. she is far more serious of being a miko, than being a student. her priorities lie on her grandfather's shrine. academics? not compared to this.

  hotaru almost topples under the sudden force of minako’s arms thrown around her, their faces pressed together about as closely as they could ever be.  ❝  is genetics an answer in poor taste - ?  ❞  she jokes, the implication twitching at her grin, but not enough to make it fall. her amusement couldn't be extinguished, not now - minako shines far too brightly. 

inclining her own head to lean against the blonde, hotaru's smile softens. how grateful she is, how lucky she is, to have such a sweet figure in her life. ❝  having so many beautiful friends to look up to helps.  ❞ 

no matter how old she is, the other guardians always look upon the little firefly this way.

& she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

😒 Is there anything canon about your muse that you ignore?

honestly, no?

i also can't really think of anything that i disagree with or dislike. i know some might prefer to ignore certain aspects of her character, especially those that are more dubious (like her relationship with levi, and how she feels, thinks & perceives certain things, etc.) a lot of people love lacie and feel for her as a tragic character, but it can make them blanket what they would like her to feel & think over what's been shown or implied.

& i guess that in a certain way, someone misreading her arc or struggling to understand her paradoxes can also lead to ignoring parts of her character (if you can't reconcile or make sense of things, or if you just choose to have a different reading for yaoiz LOL which is definitely something i've seen haha)

but basically, i don't (knowingly) ignore anything. i really enjoy her complexity. i love having a full view of the character. i guess if i wanted to reach, i'd say that i ignore when certain translations get wonky? lol.
