Welcome Aboard
Hello everybody! Welcome to my blog about living aboard the STV Windward Bound. I am very excited to begin my journey as a deckhand and live-aboard crew member on board and I am sure that I will be receiving a plethora of knowledge each and every day.
For those who might be new to the Tall Ship Community, quite like myself, the STV (sail training vessel) Windeward Bound is a tall ship based in Hobart, Australia.
The Windeward Bound was launched in 1996 and is model after an 1848 Boston Tops’l Schooner of the same name. She was built in Hobart by volunteers and is mainly crewed by volunteers as well. Winde is a 33-metre symbol of enterprise and commitment to providing youth with an opportunity to enjoy and learn skills otherwise out of their reach. We provide a space for self-development and a great opportunity to make new friends and skills all on board working as a team with other kids.
Not gonna lie, my workout music is currently Star Wars and nothing else
Ugh. May have to abandon the idea of working out outside. It's gorgeous out, but there's too many fecking mozzies. It's still March. You should all be dead.
