Two years ago today our travel adventures began with a sailing trip in the Whitsundays🏝 ⛵️🏝 It stands out as one of my favourite experiences! This was before I had an Instagram account so I’m going to reminisce for the next couple of weeks and share my photos with you 🙂. . Day 1: we got up super early for our flight to Proserpine ✈️ A bus and a taxi later and we made it to the marina. We had hours to kill until the boat was ready for us, and while we wandered the foreshore we bumped into Riley and Elayna from Sailing La Vagabonde 😍 Watching their YouTube channel had given us the confidence to try bareboat sailing and we had specifically chartered a boat that was identical to theirs because we already felt so familiar with it. It felt like a blessing at the start of our trip, which, quite honestly, we were feeling rather nervous about! We moved onto the boat in the afternoon, then had to provision it. We ended up with two trolleys worth of food that we had to take back to the marina via taxi and haul it all by hand to the boat. The kids did really well, working as a team to get it all onboard and packed away. Yup. This just happened. Anchored La Vagabonde right out the front of Ship Wreck Beach - Nasos Zakinthos, Greece. It was a pretty surreal moment swimming ashore to explore the wreck.. it's always been high on my bucket list.
