Inspired by Sailor Moon her transformation and many other things, I really love the series and I just wanted to make some art around it and do something really pretty that gives the vibe of sailor moon and its really pretty artwork...I am on the fence if I want to do the other scouts, part of me wants to but another part of me is worried I will do all that work and no one will show interest and just...ah anxiety bunnies are multiplying, So yea if anyone is interested please tell me and I could start working on them slowly.

Talk to me about the Nemesis crystal O:

MY FAVORITE PET THEORY.  ♥  In a nutshell:  I really like the theory that Nemesis had a Sailor Soldier for it (since all planets should have one) and Death Phantom hijacked her Sailor Crystal/corrupted it to use as a power source. This comes from how the crystals seem to behave similarly enough, but also (and you can browse my Sailor Nemesis tag for longer discussion about it!) there’s a specific skeleton (that cannot be Wiseman’s skeleton) chained up in the Chamber of Darkness that Rei, Ami, and Makoto are thrown into:

Why is this skeleton shown more than once?  Why is it chained up?  It’s not Wiseman, his skeleton is off floating around elsewhere.  Why was attention drawn to this corpse (that still seemed half-alive to the girls when they were in there) in the room where they dropped their prisoners? Why does it look like the corpse is wearing a Sailor Soldier skirt?? Why, when Death Phantom tapped into the massive power of Nemeis, did that corpse suddenly disappear? I like the theory that it was Sailor Nemesis kept on the verge of total death so she couldn’t return to the Galaxy Cauldron and Wiseman could continue to corrupt her/use her power (as he had corrupted and was trying to use Chibi-Usa’s Sailor Crystal’s power), but once he did finally grab it, there was nothing left of her and she crumbled into star dust.

This is going to be a lot of... hmm, I’m not precisely sure what to call it.  I don’t want to say it’s just a theory, because that takes away from how much it’s evidenced in canon.  But I don’t want to call it canon, because the canon isn’t 100% clear on this.  So it’s somewhere in between those two things and not everyone is going to agree, which I think is helpful to keep that in mind!  ♥ My answer to this question is:  No.  Because Chibi-Usa’s Sailor Crystal is her own, it’s not Usagi’s Sailor Crystal.  In the scene where Chibi-Usa’s Silver Crystal forms, we see that there are three of them there in that scene--Usagi’s one, Neo-Queen Serenity’s one (that Minako is still holding) and then Chibi-Usa’s.  Later, hers becomes the Pink Moon Crystal, when she’s not emulating her mother so much (which is why hers is initially a Silver Crystal, because she’s patterning herself after her mother/after Usagi), cementing that Chibi-Usa is her own thing. Which assumes you mean it in the sense “could she inherit the Golden Crystal”, rather than, “Could she theoretically take Mamoru’s Golden Crystal and use it?” which she could, in the same way that the Sailor Animamates used Sailor Crystals after they murdered their holders, the same way Metallia wanted to snatch the Silver Crystal and use its power for herself, etc. Each Sailor Crystal is the Star Seed of the person it belongs to, which seems to be like their soul and each of them is unique, so Chibi-Usa’s is her own and not anyone else’s.  ♥

Can someone explain to me what allows a planet to have Sailor Crystal because I’m trying to see if my origin story pans out.

What if the hair color change is a sign of maturity? Note that Queen Serenity had silver locks, while Princess Serenity (at least in Crystal) had pale golden hair. It could be that when one of the Moon Kingdom line embraces their heritage and power, their hair turns silver to mark them, so to speak, as a true ruler of Silver Millennium.

Hi!  ♥  It’s a really cool, interesting interesting theory that I definitely want to see more played with! There’s a lot that could be really thoughtful with the themes of maturity and how they see themselves, etc.!The problem for me is that Princess Serenity’s hair seemed to be silver in the manga (and I go with the manga as the original source, while Crystal is more of an extension of the manga, in my eyes), while it’s blonde in the ‘90s anime and SMC.  So, the theory could work well for SMC, but it wouldn’t fit the manga, where Usagi’s hair color seems to align more with Serenity VERSUS Usagi/Sailor Moon, for me.And I would theorize that the Serenity form and the Sailor Soldier form are entirely separate things that got kind of smushed together when Usagi went through the Cauldron, but the Dream arc giving each of the girls their own Princess forms pretty much means that Sailor Soldier forms and Princess forms absolutely go hand in hand!  ♥

HEADCANON:  DEATH PHANTOM SOMEHOW FOUND A WAY TO TAP INTO NEMESIS’ SAILOR CRYSTAL AND THAT’S WHY THE MALEFIC BLACK CRYSTALS ARE SO POWERFUL. We know that Death Phantom was originally from Earth and was banished there. We know that, previous to Nemesis moving out of an orbit that they could track, they were doing research on it and trying to figure out a way to use all that negative energy pouring out of it.  And we know that every other planet in this solar system has a Sailor Crystal and Sailor Soldier associated with it--why not Nemesis, too? The Black Crystals are extremely powerful, so much so that they threaten the Earth and are on par with Neo-Queen Serenity, whose influence stretches over the whole Earth already, too.  What else could be strong enough, but another Sailor Crystal? Then you look at the monument that sprung up after the explosion--it’s deliberately shown to be something of a mirror to the Crystal Palace, the one that was an extension of the Silver Crystal.  Whatever that Black Crystal is (and Chibi-Usa has shown to feel it, there’s definitely a strong vibe that it gives off), it’s contrasted against the Silver Crystal and so I like the idea that Death Phantom has not only hijacked the energy pouring off Nemesis, but also its Sailor Crystal somehow (which we know is possible because Sailor Galaxia used others’ Sailor Crystals as well).
