Hey! At first I wanted to let you know that I think the work you do on dolls is amazing! And second, I'd really love to get a beautiful BJD one day but don't have much money & don't know where to start so do you have any advice? And sorry if this has already been asked. Hello! Thank you so much. ^^ I’m happy to hear that my work is appreciated. It definitely makes my day. c: I get this question every once and a while, and my biggest piece of advice is to remember that there’s no such thing as a “starter BJD”. Any BJD could be your first doll, it just depends on your budget and how long you want to save. I always say a good rule is not to settle for a doll simply because of the price. Find one you really love and save up for it, no matter how long it takes. You’ll feel better about it in the end!
Otherwise, I started the hobby by looking at as many company websites as possible, Googling owner photos, and joining communities like Den of Angels, Facebook groups, Dairyland, etc. Exploring the hobby and researching EVERYTHING is one of the best things to do when you’re new to collecting. ^^
Maybe if any of my followers also have some advice they could reply to this too with some advice. Hope I’ve helped (at least a little), and good luck getting started!

1. the meaning behind my url
Virescent, which is one of my favorite words/adjectives, means “greenish.” A phosphor is a luminescent substance you find inside of CRT TVs/monitors. So, I’m a green phosphor (I like to think of being a green computer monitor!)
6. favorite band
I was actually going on about this to Gurt yesterday when I was saying New Order is one of my favorite bands and Loaded by The Velvet Underground is one of my top albums, so…it’s tough for me to pick favorites. It’d be just as difficult naming favorite albums off the top of my head, hah. But some other bands/musicians I really like are the Buzzcocks, Cheap Trick, Tame Impala, Kraftwerk, David Bowie. My music tag might reveal better information than my answer! …Though I do have some audio posts in there that aren’t “music,” really.
12. ideas of a perfect date
I’m not too picky about dates. There are a lot of dates I can think of that I’d enjoy; it depends on my mood. I’m always up for a day in, just playing video games, watching movies, listening to music, cuddling, drinking tea (especially on a rainy day,) dressing up, etc. I also like going out exploring or dancing, and an arcade date would be amazing. Any date that involves vintage things/feeling like going back in time/dressing up in historical or vintage outfits is always something I enjoy as well.
16. favorite movie
I am so, so bad at picking favorite anything. I have a soft spot for cheesy 80s teen movies (e.g. John Hughes stuff) and “quirky” movies. I usually cite Apocalypse Now and Chinatown as favorites for some reason. I also got to watch Harold and Maude again for a film seminar and wrote a short reflection paper on it. With movies, I can talk about them more if prompted than anything else, hah! I haven’t seen as many as I would’ve liked to, though.

WOW, that's gorgeous. I love the sculpt and the face-up is amazing. The hair is looking really beautiful, I'm half surprised it's been dyed. Love the color!
Thank you! His wig started white, which I then dyed purple, and then dyed purple again due to there still being some white spots. ^^

Thank you for your thoughts. It happens, but I was telling my boyfriend that really the more it happens the more I want to play with my dolls and improve them. A positivity jar seems so sweet! I may have to try doing that. :)
