Hello there lovely mods! I was wondering for ocs if we NEED a faceclaim or if we can just put n/a. If its just for a point of reference for what the oc looks like would having a drawing of them on the blog work especially if the mun has no intention of using icons? Sorry if this is poorly worded I need to sleep but the question was pressing on me.

You indeed do not need a face claim. They are merely an option and only listed on the ML if muns choose to use one.

Regardless of whether you choose to use a face claim or not, please do describe your character's appearance in the designated section. This per reference point for your fellow roleplayers! 

We acknowledge this may be confusing, so we have split up the appearance section into" appearance description" and "face claim" on the original form template. This will be effective for new OC apps that are submitted after publication of this post.

Of course, if you choose not to use a face claim, you can fill out "N/A" for the face claim section.
