What do you think about the Buddhist Saint Angulimala? The some versions of some Buddhist scriptures claims that Saint Angulimala was rescued by Buddhists from an organized-abuse group/cult. After Angulimala escaped from the organized abuse group and converted to Buddhism, he allegedly achieved the spiritual attainment called 'arahant' (the highest level in Theravada Buddhism).
I think it’s a story about how compassion, understanding, and patience can lead to change.
It’s also a story about how the other person must desire to change.
