My submission for the Faraday art competition ^-^ this was so so fun.

Below is also my discord message buuut it covers a lot of stuff so im including it!

I'm a bit embarrassed because I misunderstood the assignment,, I thought you had to invent a whole new dish that like, didn't quite exist before,,, so I drew one X') It's inspired by a lot of different things and real life dishes and treats, but it's not exactly real. I called it a "Dewchu", and it can be decorated with a lot of things.

Travel was a big thing growing up. It can be hard to celebrate holidays with your family and friends when you're far from them. So I thought I would dedicate a dish specifically to this experience. Even when you're isolated, you can still have a wonderful treat made by loved ones to eat wherever you are.

But Dewchus are a dish that was created by the little character, Dawn! Or specifically, Dawn's family. She took over the nomad Dewchu Shop to share love and comfort with lonely travellers, but took it one step further herself - taught and shared the recipe all around. Because, to her, there's no dewchu more special than one made by loved ones. Though funny enough her kindness has created more business for her.

For the Faraday art competition! I had so much fun working on this piece. While designing it, I kept thinking about giving the recipe a deeper purpose within the Billie Bust Up universe, not just as a dessert, but as a gentle way to say what sometimes feels too difficult to express. I’m not always the best at putting my feelings into words, so I loved the idea of creating something that could speak for you instead. Berry Whisper a Saint Faraday dessert made to say what words cannot. Faraday’s Truth Potion is placed inside the chocolate heart while still liquid, appearing pearly white and iridescent. When the heart is opened, it turns into a glowing trail of smoke, revealing the feelings of the one who offers the Berry Whisper. In Saint Faraday, this dessert is shared on any occasion: to offer support, show someone you care, or express feelings when words fall short. 😊💙✨

Here's my submission for Saint Faraday Feast!

A vegan apple and cinnamon pie (ft. Barnaby's supervision)!

Ingredients and preparation:

Ingredients:

330 ml of lukewarm water

300 gr of flour

190 gr of sugar

90 ml sunflower seeds oil

3 apples

1 grated lemon peel

16 gr of baking powder

1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder

Powdered sugar (if you want)

Preparation:

Turn the oven on to 180°C.

Put water and sugar together with a whip and start mixing until the sugar is all melted.

Then add the oil and keep mixing until the result is a homogeneous liquid.

After that, pick the flour mixed with the baking powder and pour it all with a sieve, bit by bit. Add a tablespoon of cinnamon and the grated lemon peel, and keep stirring with the whip. The result should be a rather dense batter.

When you're done, you can start slicing and dicing two apples, add them in the mix that should then be stirred one final time (this time you can just use a wooden spoon).

Finally, you have to pour the batter in a cake pan.

Now, to decorate!

You can now use the 3rd apple: cut it in thin slices (the peel can be kept!) and gently lay them on the surface. I personally positioned them to form some sort of flower shape.

Finally, in the oven for an hour.

You can add either powdered sugar or cinnamon after the cake is ready, to make it sweeter.

And to celebrate that… We want to see your dishes! From today until the 28th of February, we're holding a food based art competition! We'd like you to come up with a dish, create a piece of art around it and share it in the server! At the end of the month, we want to have a table full of food for everyone to share!

Draw something, sing something, film something or make something out of clay. All that matters is you made it!
