I don't think it would matter - your spellcasting will always be INT because you're a wizard, regardless of the spell type. It's up to you for DEX/CHA for roleplaying (ie, an enchanter with high CHA will not always need to use spells but instead persuade)

That’s a good point! I wanted decent charisma for deception/persuasion skills, but if I had high charisma then I’d possibly be able to maybe persuade instead of burning a spell slot for the same or similar outcome. Thanks!

ur right about min/maxing...fo4 as much as i love it, i end up having to drag certain companions with me so i can get their approval easily because some only get affinity for like, 5 quests out of 100

yeah i end up doing the same thing in the dragon age games and i feel like it really puts a damper on just having your own party, y’know?

at least in mass effect, companions and the story in general have what im just gonna call “critical points” where a sum of decisions equals a certain outcome and it’s usually easier and feels more natural to plan for those instead of picking apart every single dialogue tree to see what gets you to max approval. mostly because these critical points are just their loyalty mission or part of a story mission.

also, companions DO react to shepard’s alignment. my favorite is garrus’ confusion and upsetness if shepard goes from Renegade in mass effect 1 to Paragon in mass effect 2 and you stop him from killing sidonis.
