The story of THIS artist....
My name, Andre Smith, age 21. I paint murals, portraits, sketch,sculpt, pretty much anything and everything artistic I'm willing to do or try. I've been doing so since childhood. My dream job is to paint murals for the world to see, make comics for kids ( from the stories they tell), and put smiles back on the faces of people everywhere. I don't have a perfect life or the perfect job. By technicality I've been homeless for about 10yrs. For 6 out of those 10 years I've known what its like to literally have no place to go, nothing to call your own, but during those years I still continued drawing, working on my art and trying to make a living from my work. I remember selling art and coming home with the cash and being accused of prostitution, drug dealing, illegal gambling etc. Just to give an idea of who I am: The only thing I have ever smoked was meat, I'm not a drinker, but I've used alcoholic beverages in my cooking, and the closest I’ve come to anything sexual is whatever people request for me to draw. I am trying to make my business grow and I hope to finally “catch a break” sometime in the near future, but for now I’m basically living off of commissions while looking for another full time job and no commissions= me starving for another day. I’m not asking for $1,000,000,000 I’m asking for work so I can make that $1,000,000,000 on my own.

A few days ago I mentioned making a comic abouta guy.... well here’s that guy. To summarize just a bit, Joven, the protagonist is a mysterious man with a face that no one remembers. After several years of locking himself away in his home he finally began walking the streets again. Most people thought he died. He shops very little and always seems to have an abundance of money and food. A young lady nicknamed Kova house sits while Joven is away. I don’t wanna give away all the details so here’s page 1 and 2. I’ll redo the pages on my computer sometime in the near future.
