What if the MC had died, leaving only her daughter for Saizo?
A gasp of horror came over when Saizo burst through the roof, his clothes stained with the blood of the thousands he had killed that night.
“He’s gone crazy…” A man whispered underneath his breath, shielding his nose from the metallic smell. The murmuring didn’t stop until the loud bang of the door halted everyone’s conversations.
“Saizo!” Yukimura’s face has gone pale with fear and anger as he rushed to his friends side, pulling him out of the room.
“What the hell did you do?!” Yukimura angrily shook Saizo, but in return Saizo’s eyes were still washed clear with nothing but a thirst for blood.
“.....” Saizo said nothing until his pupils slowly started to widen to their normal state and his breathing steadied. A sudden gasp made Saizo fall as he clutched his chest in pain.
“Saizo! Damnit! What’s wrong with you!” Cautiously, Yukimura started to pat Saizo’s back, trying to steady him once more.
“I..I did it again..didn’t I?” Saizo’s crimson eyes stared deathly at Yukimura as they were now filled with sadness and guilt. Yukimura could only look down as he slightly nodded, triggering a nerve in Saizo.
“Damnit!” Saizo punched the wall next to him, leaving an obvious hole that replicated the hole that was severed deep into his heart.
“This blood..It’s not..no..I can- What am I doin-“
“Pull yourself together!” A flash of red was stained on Saizo cheek’s as Yukimura has roughly battered his cheek.
“You can’t keep on living like this, Saizo! You have a child now..You need to be there for her!” Yukimura snatched Saizo’s clothes, bringing him up to his nose, his silver eye glaring right back at him.
“You can’t lose yourself grief! She wouldn’t have wanted this! She would of wanted you happy, smiling with your child, she would’ve wanted you to live-“ Yukimura was abruptly pushed to the ground, Saizo towering over him with the glare just like before.
“Live?!?” Saizo’s angry voice had make Yukimura wince, but then, Yukimura’s eyes widened as he saw Saizo, for the first time, cry. His tears dropped slowly on Yukimura’s cheeks, making his eyes water in return.
“What is there to live for? Why am I living?! The only reason why I’m doing this is because...I miss her! I could’ve saved her damnit! She deserves to be here, with me! With US! I can’t raise our child alone, I just- I can’t! Killing makes me numb, cold, it’s the only time where I don’t feel this, GRIEF! This PAIN!” Waves of tears came one by one, and together, Saizo and Yukimura cried until a sudden sweet voice had rung out.
“Daddy?” Saizo whipped his head around, looking at the face of his daughter, the face of the one thing he had left.
“..I’m sorry you need to see me like this..Go back to sleep.” He turned his head as he shuffled off Yukimura.
“I’ll..I’ll leave you two alone..” Yukimura rose up as he walked out and disappeared into the corner. Only Saizo and his little girl stood there.
“Daddy..Is that blood on you? Are you hurt?” The frightened voice of his daughter made his heart ache as he weakly smiled,
“No I’m alright..Go back to sleep...please..” But she did not listen. She moved slowly to her father, her big brown eyes looking straight at him with pure innocence.
“Don’t look at me!” His angry voice made her shrink back a little, but she continued to walk slowly until she was right in front of him. Saizo’s face was buried in his knees, but the small and gentle hands of hers lifted them up. She placed her hands on his cheeks, showing her brightest smile that seemed to light up the dark night.
“I’m here for you, daddy!” Saizo’s heart stopped for a split second as he saw his beloved right next to her. Standing and smiling down at Saizo with the same smile that his daughter had just shown her.
“Take care of her.” Her last words wisped in the air as she faded with the breeze that had swept past his hair. Saizo put his hand over hers, taking his bloodied clothes off as he laid there in rags.
“Thank you..Little Lady…”
