Sake to me! Well, I was invited to a sake lunch by the @worldwineguys Long story short, sake paired with Italian food. Yes I said Italian food. And guess what…it worked! I admit, I don’t know that much about sake. I’ve had a hard time finding the ones that I like. I had thrown in the towel. This lunch was my last attempt to find sake that I can enjoy. Turns out.. I just wanted to the good stuff. The lunch featured trophy winning sake.🏆 I got into. Three fabulous courses and all while chatting with a Baroness (hey @baronesssheri), my kinda lunch. I'm fancy sometimes...😀 If you are wondering what “sake” is let me break it down for you real quick. Sake is a Japanese rice wine…no not Uncle Ben’s rice or regular rice at the store. There is rice grown specifically for the wine. It’s made similar to beer, but uses rice instead of barley. Sake is pretty versatile. .. goes with beer, chicken, cheese….basically all the good things in life. I’m going to keep checking out sake, especially the sparkling ones. How about you?
