More SakuNata!! They’re actually not my favorite pairing but they’re so lovable and easy to write,,, I’ll probably write more of them later, too. If anyone wants more fics, just request!! If you have no ideas, you can look in my prompts tag.
Anyway this is another short one, only around 400 words. Enjoy!
Sakura was settled in bed, laying under the covers happily on her side, drifting off to sleep.
"SAKURA!"
Sakura was startled out of her slumber as the door was thrown open, slamming against the wall. Hearing the all-too-familiar voice, she kept her back back to Hinata, closing her eyes and hoping she would let her sleep in peace.
"Sakura! Sakura! Sakuraaaa!"
She groaned when Hinata pounced on the bed.
"What?"
Hinata half-climbed on top of her, putting her head on her shoulder. "I'm bored."
"Well I'm tired."
"But it's only 11! I'm so bored!"
Sakura, didn't reply, keeping her eyes closed, and her back turned to Hinata.
Hinata climbed over her, pulling down the blanket and forcing her way into Sakura's arms. "Sakuraaaa! Come do something with me!"
Sakura finally opened her eyes, scowling at the shorter girl. "I want to sleep."
"Pleeeease? I'm totally awake and I don't wanna be all alone!"
"I'm trying to sleep."
"But I'll be so lonely without you! Don't you care that I wanna spent time with you?"
"We can spend time together tomorrow, Hinata. I'm exhausted."
Hinata put her hands on Sakura's shoulders gently, looking up at her with a pout, her eyes pleading. "Please?"
Sakura blushed, pulling her hands away quickly and rolling onto her other side.
Hinata sat up. "Aha! Your face is red! It's working!"
"N- No it's not, you were breathing on my neck." Sakura turned, burying her face into her pillow.
Hinata raised her chin triumphantly. "The puppy eyes always work."
"No they don't. Go to bed."
Hinata groaned in frustration. "Sakura! Please! I'm so bored!"
"Text dog pictures to Yuri," she suggested.
"I tried that, but she won't answer. I think she's asleep."
"Go read a book, or play videogames, or something," Sakura muttered, yawning.
"But I wanna do something with you," Hinata insisted, putting a hand on Sakura's arm.
Sakura sighed, thinking of some way to get the other girl to leave her alone. She was glad Hinata wanted to be with her, but she was tired and embarrassed.
She was too tired to think of anything else, so she went with the only method she could think of. Sitting up, she grabbed Hinata by the collar of her shirt, pressing their lips together a bit roughly, before separating just slightly, so that their noses were touching. "Go to bed," she whispered, pulling away and laying back down, facing away from the shorter girl.
Hinata laid down, pulling the covers over herself, hesitantly hugging Sakura from behind; the way they always slept. Sakura could feel Hinata's rapid heartbeat, matching the pace of her own pounding heart.
She was tired, but now she couldn't sleep. They both stayed silent for several minutes, their hearts finally calming down.
"H- Hey, Sakura, are you awake?"
"Yeah, why?"
Hinata didn't respond for a few seconds.
"I love you."
Sakura inhaled sharply, before turning around and wrapping her arms around Hinata, burying her face in the girl's messy hair.
"I... I love you too."
They stayed like that, until Sakura was lulled to sleep by the sound of Hinata's gentle breathing.
