Kiryu Mitsuki x reader
Everyone at Makochi Town knew of Bofurin boys.
Bofurin aka kids in Furin High School.
She knew of them too, maybe not intimately - Umemija Hajime being an exception as he knew most of the townsfolk. She just happened to be the daughter of a couple, who owned a gardening shop. One in which she found him frequenting a lot.
And his little puppy, Sugishita (as she liked to call the kid, not to his face).
Her mother would often make her sit at the desk, nudging her to help out whenever Umemiya walked in. She had a nagging suspicious that maybe her mother was trying to play matchmaker, wanting to get the rights to brag about about the town's protector as her possible son-in-law? Shuddering, she shoved that idea down.
It's not like she disliked Umemiya, it's just that he wasn't her type.
He was way too...too him.
She couldn't explain it.
She attended a nearby all-girls school, her father's choice, something she disliked with passion. Apparently, he wanted her to know how to be a lady and get rid of her tomboyish nature.
As a child, he'd caught her roaming around the streets, even when it was dangerous and not giving a damn if someone tried to bother her.
To the townsfolk, she was known was an interesting, but weird girl.
She'd snorted at some of the housewives gossip about her, wondering how that kind of shit starts.
"Ditching school?" A voice asked, startling her in her hiding spot, making her hit the barrel and let out a string of curses as she jumped in pain.
Eyes watering, she turned to the glare at the culprit. Kiryu Mitsuki. The son of the famous, rich Kiryu family. She knew of him, knew of them. She clicked her tongue, noticing how Kiryu's face lit up.
He knew he pissed her off, for whatever reasons neither could tell.
It had started when they were younger.
Lasting well into their teens, and she knew that he seemed to enjoy every minute of riling her up.
"Kiryu."
He said her name, that smile on his face never slipping.
"To your information, I'm not ditching."
He glanced at the clock on his phone, "It's still school day."
"You're not at school."
"I'm patrolling, princess."
Her eyes narrowed at him, disliking the way he said it. As if she was an idiot for even asking it. It was a well-known thing that Furin boys would patrol during school hours, it was part of their activities.
Which honestly means, that she should be in trouble.
For leaving her school earlier than one should, but honestly? A period or two too early wasn't going to hurt her. Not if he told on her.
"Then shouldn't you get moving, Bocchama?"
His jaw clenched at her nickname, she knew he hated being called that. Young master. Bocchama. The Kiryus were wealthy. But he hated the idea of being lumped together with his father and brothers.
She liked his sister, Akari had been nice to her.
"I should tell your parents," Kiryu said, having noticed the cigarette package she quickly hid into her pocket. Or the one she tried to hastily put out, before she realised who it was and scowled.
"Ditching or smoking?"
"Both?"
She shrugged, "At this point, I doubt they'll be surprised."
He watched her straightening her ponytail, pulling out a minty mouth freshner and sprayed it into her mouth. From where Kiryu Mitsuki stood, he could smell the fresh mint sweeping onto her. Like a wisp of smoke. He swallowed.
He wasn't an idiot, he knew why he got riled up by her. He just didn't know if she felt anything besides seeming dislike towards him.
Their childhood rivalry had carried on to now, with it fading slightly considering their differing paths. Popping up only when their lives crossed.
He'd seen her in the town, hanging out with her classmates and friends. Sometimes, he'd see her talking to Hiragi-senpai and others.
Or try and drag Kaji-senpai before things got troublesome, as she said. She lived close to Kaji, he knew that. Her parents had gotten a bigger house at some point and moved from their initial place. It meant no longer being on the same block. It felt weird, but he got used to it.
He knew her better than she expected, having kept some tabs on her - something he didn't plan on doing, but ended up doing.
"School's still as shitty as ever?" He asked, remembering her last rant about it.
She blinked but nodded.
Her eyes glanced him over, seeming to notice him for the first time. He'd changed from the boy she knew. Pink hair, pulled back in a stylish fashion. And yet, that lazy feeling was still there.
She blinked.
He'd grown.
Like grown-grown, she barely managed to suppress a shiver.
He looked too good for her liking.
"Furin's done good to you, Kiryu," she said, pocketing her hands, standing in front of him. She tried not to stare.
She shouldn't have noticed it.
Things would get way too complicated.
Too annoying.
Crushes always were like that.
Perhaps, Kiryu Mitsuki was the reason why she didn't find Umemiya Hajime as her type.
Her face felt hot, and she prayed she wasn't blushing.
Kiryu's green eyes widened, and a sly grin appeared. He took a few steps forward, pretending to get into her face as he always did. The effect was instantaneous. Her eyes widened, and she tried to step back, but he grabbed her hand before she could.
"That's a nice shade of red on your cheeks," he commented, liking the way she flustered.
She attempted to swat him away, only for his fingers to grab hers. They were warm.
"Not funny," she snapped.
"Not trying to be."
"Then, what the heck are you?"
He gave it a thought, feeling her body warmth under his hands. It felt...weird. Interesting.
"I'm testing, something."
She blinked, "Huh?"
"I want to try something, can I?" Kiryu asked, his eyes falling on her parted lips.
She blinked, again. "Wha-" before she could finish a snarky response he knew was coming, he pulled her to him, smashing his lips on hers.
She stumbled into him, her hands landing on his hands as she tried to prevent herself from falling. If there was something she didn't expect, then kissing Kiryu fucking Mitsuki was one of them. His lips felt nice, soft and ...enchanting against hers. The kiss was better than the ones she'd shared with her ex before.
Wait, wait, wait - Kiryu fucking Mitsuki likes her? Her thoughts scrambled into one big mess, trying to sort it out as their lips moved. She thanked the Gods for them being in a quiet corner, hidden from the main street's view. It made her to briefly wonder why he even came here, had he seen her?
But the biggest question was, why the heck were they kissing?
Yes, she's fantasised about it before but not once did she think he'd initiate it. Instead, she figured he'd rather kill her before doing it.
Before letting her get that close.
His hand moved to her neck, caressing her skin. Hers flew to his hair, playing with them.
What felt too soon, they pulled apart. Gasping for breaths.
"...Elaborate." She demanded, fingers playing with his hair as his were drawing some sort of circles on her skin. Playing with her long locks.
"Can't you tell, princess?" Kiryu asked, pressing his lips on her neck.
She, involuntarily, shivered. "If this is an attempt to piss me off-"
"Wanted to see if you liked me or not," he cut her off.
She blinked. "And?"
"Looks like we need to have a proper chat once I'm done with school, pretty certain Sakura-chan and others have noticed me gone by now."
"So you slipped out on your duties," she grinned, nibbing on his lower lip. "Who's the bad boy now?"
"How about you get inside and I'll come to pick you up later?"
She hummed, "Sounds like a date."
Well, shit, it looks like things were going to be a hassle either way...she thought, watching Kiryu Mitsuki walking back to the main street, occasionally glancing over his shoulder at he with a devilish grin.
Perhaps, their rivalry had always stood on some form of mutual attraction but they hadn't known what to do about it?
She grinned.
If any of this is good lemme know.
I've been simply writing some ideas out...
