The shooter was a Trump-supporting white male

Listen, in the aftermath of the Ste-foy Mosquée shooting, what I feel is mostly grief and powerlessness, so what I need to express and hear is mostly love, solidarity, and support.

However, I am going to take one short break to write this angry post in English. Because I’m talking about something that I’ve seen in American media.

You fucking assholes. Criss de trou-de-culs. I cannot fucking believe that American media are using the mosque shooting to justify the fucking immigration ban and islamophobia. C’est le boutte du boutte tbnk.

Fox News is one thing but the motherfucking WHITE HOUSE? No matter what Fox said, the shooter was 27-year-old white male Trump supporter. He has been trolling immigration groups on social media. Described as calm and shy, right-leaning student. He was radicalized, says one of his classmates. By Marine Le Pen and Donald Trump. By the legitimization of alt-right and the normalization of xenophobia.

It was fucking bad enough to think that the media falsely reported that the shooters were middle-eastern because they were so ready to believe that without confirmation. BUT they fuckin knew. Fox repeated this AFTER they were told it was false. So I don’t know if there any Americans who still believe that but I want to tell you: It was a terrorist attack perpetrated by right-wing extremist (who might have mental issues or not, but is still a terrorist). An ordinary, quiet-in-class,troll-on-the-internet type, who went to my Uni, who went to the same high school as a few of my friends.

He went into a mosque that has been there for as long as I remember. Killed six persons: a professor at my old Uni, a grocery-store owner, a government worker...all of them fathers.  He killed one of my neighbours. Because this is what you will find in your local mosque: professors, informaticians, business owners, neighbours.

I won’t be doing any more angry rants, but jfc, just the thought of a single damn person spinning this into an argument against taking in refugees makes me physically sick.
